Looks like the ultimate cat lounger. Comfy for cat naps and a great scratchy pad.

Just had a serious talk with the wife about picking one up. Had to decide not to because the two we have are a handful. Cute critters will go to great homes I’m sure.

Well some sad news to report to all the TW cat lovers. We moved to northern idaho recently but my wife is still living in Ca until she finishes out the school year. So on Friday I was working outside before going to pick up my wife. Louisa was throwing a fit about going outside so I let her out for a bit. I saw her by the shed at one point and then like a 1/2 hr later I was trying to find her before leaving to the airport. No sign of her and hated having to leave. The neighbor on both sides were out looking for her when I left. I was totally expecting her to be at the back slider when we got back and no Louisa. It’s been over 48 hours now with night temps below 20. Everyone is telling me to stay hopeful but hope is slowing diminishing. I’m constantly out walking the property. Along her thinking she’s up a tree somewhere but no sign of her. It’s killing me as I feel responsible as I’m the one who caved in and let her out. About every 30 seconds I find myself looking over at the slider expecting her to be stand there. Please everyone pray and wish for Louisas safe return and if she was taken by a predator please pray she went quickly. We’ve had her for 10 years and I keep thinking of her and my eyes start welling up. Almost everyone I know has lost a cat or 2 but this is the 1st we’ve ever lost like this and it’s killing me especially not knowing. The thought of her being outside cold and afraid is the worst part.

Thanks for your comment and your serious reflection on the impact to your current household pets. You raise a great point regarding the long term commitment that comes with the adoption of a new kitten(s) and the effect on the entire household. I bet your current 2 are treasured companions.

jason, my heart goes out to you and Louisa. We have all succumbed to our pets demands for whatever their currents needs and wants may be (treats, let me out, scratch my chin), caving in is okay. Hope for the very best outcome for Louisa, you and your wife. Sending positive thoughts your way…kind regards.

Thank you so much for the kind thoughts and words. Just came in from calling her. My wife keeps telling be she won’t come because if she was close by she’d already be here. I guess going out and freezing is my way to cope with the guilt.

Thank you!!! It definitely gives me comfort knowing there’s others out there thinking of Louisa and her coming home.

Try putting her litter box outside. Supposedly cats can smell their own box for a ways off I just read.

That’s a Great idea and maybe put it a distance away from the house just to get her a little closer but also a better chance of getting her to pick up the scent and getting her in the right direction and closer to home .

We had put it out for the 1st 2 days and nights along with a blanket and a tee shirt I had been wearing. My wife wanted to bring the box back in as the other cats needed the additional box. I feel horrible for Amos as he keeps looking all over the house for her and when we mention Louisa’s name he pops up and starts looking for her. They were total buddies and she was the only one who’d tolerate his playfulness and for her size give it back to him. Even saw Suki last night possibly looking around for her. They’ve been together for 10 years.
