    Ask your vet for some Gabapentin. It will lightly sedate them and reduce anxiety. We give it to our cat before his monthly vet visit where he gets a shot for arthritis (solensia injection). I’ve also used it when taking cats on a long ride, worked great. It comes in liquid and you just give them a few drops from an eye dropper an hour or so before your trip.

    That’s what I use to take the cats for their vet visits, I have the pill form and was told to give it to them about 30 minutes before I leave. And my trip is about 20 minutes depending on traffic. And I think it’s a quarter of the pill.
