I have three cats I regularly take with me to the desert house 2 hours away. Two are good but one does not like being caged in the car. So last few times she sat in the carrier with the top open. I am wondering if harnessing her would be better. Then she can move a little. But not far. Our fear is if she gets up under the seat.

Any suggestions. She gets irritated the tries to bite. Worse is if I keep her caged she freaks out and has pooped in the car. If it happens you know it and then it is time to stop and clean up. Pew haha.....

Probably. He was good about it, didn't even growl. But he clearly wasn't impressed.

Smokey was aptly named; he likes to sleep under the wood cookstove when it's running, and more than once this winter he'd scoot out from underneath it accompanied by the smell of singed cat hair.

I never tried a harness, but that mite work. I traveled with my cats and after a hour or so they would get stressed and restless. I took a chance and opened the door on the carriers. They came out looked around got some luv then went back in the carriers. As long as I left the doors open so they could come out they were cool.

Harry doing the “chicken dinner” pose. At about 11 months now I think he’s about maxed out size-wise. He’s only getting wider at this point because he’s always the first to finish his meal and then makes sure everyone else’s bowl is clean for them.
I’d say he’s a bit less that 2/3 the size of Ollie & that guy is a full size tomcat.
Funny though, Ollie is still smaller than Ponce was when he was in his prime. My buddy Ponce was a really big guy.
Needless to say, my daughter is delighted with Harry’s diminutive stature - she thinks of him as a perma-kitten. :D

well got some flea & tick applied to "Miss Kitty" , at least thats what Im going to call her, any Gunsmoke fans get it ;) since she had a hard few days/weeks. she doesnt care much for dogs...LOL our little yapper scared her off but not far;) "Miss Kitty" knows theres food here so shes not going far, she found a hole under the pump house so she can hide out of the rain there. I'll make her a good nest/bed later with a big tote for the winter.

Finally getting cat number three. Sabra to be a lap cat. She slept on my leg last night too. I think she is part raccoon at least her and raccoon that runs around outside look the same at times.
