Well ol "miss kitty" comes and goes, she came in for her morning meal. Theres other more feral cats around so I bring the food in at night. She seems to enjoy milk that I put out, but not all that playful...maybe shes older? or just not a playful cat. Usually most cats chase a laser dot, she kind of looked at it but never really chased it.

Larry the cat. 1.5 yrs old. Has the house to hisself. Well mannered most of the time. He’s there because I don’t like an empty house.

Supposedly it's so that the animal catcher knows that they've already been sterilized, so he doesn't need to bother bringing them in. Housecats get a belly tat, but the ferals aren't likely to let you roll them over to check for it

Pumpkin just had a nick in her ear, and our vet said that's typical for house cats who get fixed at community pro-bono events or at some high volume shelters before being offered for adoption. She was also declawed in the front and was super friendly. I would love to find the dick who got her cheap surgery, took her guns, and then tossed her out in the cold.

The nick is probably faster than the tat, so if they're dealing in volume then I can definitely see why they'd do it.

thats what the local pound told us, guess its everywhere. I didnt know about it either but makes sense.

Yeah this one has her claws at least, but maybe was a house/barn cat at some point. Its too nice to be all feral, she runs off but not too far so thats why I think she was dropped here since theres only a few houses around. but most have some kind of barn/house cat.

It's called "docking". And yes, very much a waste of time and money to retrap the same cat and find out after a surgical procedure has begun that it's already done.

Before his surgery he would go and hang out in the carrier.
This time though he was running face first into it and jamming his nose into the crate. He game himself a bloody nose within 30 seconds of beeing in it. Figured wth he'll be less stressed with the harness.
Cleaned the carrier with lysol wipes so hopefully next time the smell doesnt relate to the vet.

If the cat is nice/friendly they get sympathy from me. Its not her fault whoever owned her wasnt adult enough to find a good home for her, Also reminds me of this cat I had growing up, looked similar but had one crooked eye.

Crap...we clean the litter boxes with Lysol, and our older cat Ginger has been having recurrent problems with rodent ulcers for a couple of years now - it's a type of allergic reaction.

    http://www.askthecatdoctor.com/rodent-ulcer.html

We've been chasing every possible cause, from food to laundry detergent to tap water. She just had a really bad flare up and is on meds now. It's like the worst canker sore you can imagine on your lip, and it actually erodes the tissue away. Gingers upper lip is mostly gone now. Poor kitty. Will definitely find a new cleaner.

Vinegar would work just as well, I would think. I use it for a lot of my household cleaning & disinfecting.
