The Siamese we had before was like that. Played fetch like crazy, lap cat and loved riding in her " truck" that was nothing more than a shoe box with a rope tied to it. Never had an affinity specific to Siamese before but after she passed we figured we'd adopt another hoping it would have a similar personality... we where wrong.

How long did it take you to train your cats for all the DIY projects you need done around the house and How many treats do they charge you by the hour or is it a flat treat rate??

They are actually part of an indentured servitude program. Should take them about 15-18 years to work off.

Now that's funny. You've got it all wrong. We belong to them, we go to work every day to provide for them, we scratch their fat bellies because it feels good for them not us. They own us!!!!

You, sir, have just described why I appreciate the cats of others but have none of my own.

Dogs have masters while cats have staff, and I refuse to be anything else's pet.*

LOL....That photo reminds me of Buddy and his love of all bags/boxes. At least he wasn't hard to buy for, because the bags/boxes at the supermarket are choke full of interesting smells. :D

I had Bandit for several years when Hobbes showed up on my back porch as a tiny kitten, shivering, hungry and crying for mama. I don't know if he got lost or somebody dumped him, but I took him in figuring he would make a good playmate for Bandit while I was away at work.

    She never quite forgave me.

Sadly, Bandit passed away from heart failure last August. I've been around cats all my life (I'm 63) but Bandit was simply... The Best.

Sorry to hear about bandit, he sounded like a special cat. I'm sure Hobbes has a way to thank you for rescuing him everyday, even if you don't realize it.

I adopted my dad's cat too recently since he couldn't keep him anymore with his new wife (allergic). So now I've got two fur balls living in my studio apartment...hurting my bachelor game but they're worth it. My dad's cat likes to sleep next to me at night and wrap his front arms around mine lol. I've rolled on top of him a few times so he doesn't do it as often anymore. Not a fun way to wake up in the middle of the night.
