Our Siam will nearly have a conversation with you... Almost sounds like barking at times, he will also howl when in the basement. Also VERY loud when there is any sign of food, even if the fridge opens he start to howl.

Adorable - be prepared to fall in love...

Warning - Cats are like Lays potato chips, can't have just one.... I started with 2 when I met my wife, now we have 5 of our own plus 5 fosters.

Does sim=Siamese? I guess she isn't a Siamese. She is supposed to be a ragdoll/manx mix. This is according to my wife. I know nothing about cat breeds.

got to be quick, sometimes if you can make a "spppfff" type noise like a cat when they are climbing on the curtains it disrupts them and since they are skiddish it will eventually get through to them you dont want them on the curtains. helps with spray bottle of water and the "spppff" sound ;)

Had one of those perfect moments last night where the three cats all cautiously crawled up on the same spot on the hardwood floor nose to nose...I couldn't help myself and made a sudden movement with my foot against the chair and all three of them launched in what can only be described as a feline explosion...they seriously all went straight up in the air probably 5 ft, then scared one another when they got back to the ground and tried to scatter but none of them could get traction on the faux wood floor. It was glorious...my fiance was not amused.

Anyone else have a cat that on occasion rolls around in poison ivy and then invites you to pet it?

Maybe. Neither the GF or I are allergic to Poison Ivy, so... :notsure:

What a cute cat. Hope she brings you lots of joy! Just be patient during the kitten phase- it’ll go by too fast.

First be thankful she is not climbing walls. Our newest, seriously would run up the stairs and keep going up the door jams, then slide down. The first couple times I couldn't stop laughing, but by about the 50th it really was not impressive. Now he goes outside, he is constantly in trees.

Put some change in a jar and give it a good shake. Eventually just seeing the jar is enough to make them stop. It’s all about associating something scary to bad behavior. You have to be really patient and best not to have anything near and dear or irreplaceable within reach.

Louisa just carries on total conversations just with herself. It’s really like she’s talking. Even when she’s outside and nobody’s around I can hear her yapping away. At least she doesn’t do it in the middle of the night- thank god!

We use those compressed air cans for cleaning electronics - but never pointed directly at them. We don't even have to spray anymore, as just the noise of picking up the can makes them haul ass out of there. Now any aerosol can works.

It's funny how some cats do that. My fiance's cat has this long, drawn out meow that he'll repeat over and over and over and over until you give him attention. My cat doesn't do it often but if he does, it's just short little 'mews' repeated over and over.

Her cat also likes to bring their toys into our bedroom at 3am while doing that "MEAAAAWWWWWLLLLL...."MEEEAAAWWWLLLL" sound... 'Humans! HUMANS! I've brought you a fresh kill....witness me...WITNESS ME!" and he won't shut up until you acknowledge that he brought you something.

I try to remember to hide all of their toys before we go to bed
