Both the cats got turkey for Thanksgiving. The wife has pictures of it. I don’t.

But this was the kitten 10 minutes later.

To all,

Angel had her second follow up with the vet and we have the biopsy results. The mass removed from her mouth is a localized cancer and has returned more aggressively than before. The vet stated that the next course of action would be extreme surgery to remove the upper left part of her jaw, including teeth, to try and remove all of the cancerous cells. the starting point for the surgery is 5k, which is something that we just cannot afford after her first surgery and my own oral surgery a week after hers. Given that the surgery would be extremely painful for her, a long recovery, and require multiple trips each week to the vet under anesthesia for kemo and still no idea if it would get rid of the cancer. Even after the surgery, eating would be difficult for her.

We've come to accept the reality that we're now on a short time span with her, so we're giving her liquid pain meds to make her more comfortable, put up our Christmas Tree early and pretty much let her do whatever she wants. This is heartbreaking for me because she was such a cuddle monster at night and insisted that she share my pillow.

The circle of life isn't easy...
