Thanks. My wife emailed me at lunch time and said the foster mom emailed her and said someone was coming to meet her/adopt her.

My wife is so upset. She sent me a picture of her in tears :(

Going to be tough when she gets home from work/gym.

That sucks, but at least she found a new home, and there are plenty of kitties that could use a loving home like yours!

An old girlfriend had a cat with no eyes..born that way. She got around just fine..was an indoor/outdoor cat.

One of my cats went deaf around 19..lived to be 23. She could feel the heat kick on in the winter, even sound asleep would jump off my lap and park her butt at the vent.

Yeah she had this one on her mind 24/7. She looks at the adoption websites daily and she said the others are cute but this one she fell in love with.

    Dang. That's a good life!

I found her when I was 19 on the curb. She had bad kidneys for 8 years that we were able to combat. Little 6 pound furball and she beat the hell out of my 20 pound triple pawed Maine coon my wife had.

Bums. They need to get a job and contribute.

Wife took these pix in complete darkness with the flash. We keep a fannel blanket at the foot of all the beds...ours and our 2 daughters. They make their rounds...might sleep with us one night...with one of the girls the next. Wherever there's a flannel blanket....naps ensue.

The kitten is doing great....gaining size and weight. Her respiratory issues are almost completely gone and her eyes have been clear for nearly a month.

So long as its eye is healing it should be fine except for running into things;)

My boy was in for his annual check up (though hes been in about 5 times this year) and shots this morn.
My vet and company just love him. They say theyve never seen a more relaxed cat at the vet. He lets them do all their tests and never complains. I guess he trusts me when I tell him he has nothing to worry about.

Either way he was given a decent bill of health.

My cats have always been a gong show trying to get them in the vet. Ed and Bob had to be taken separately and growled the whole time. Ron has to be wrapped in a towel the whole time, he's easier than the last two but still tricky.

He was always good in a carrier (makes things easier) until after he went in to get his teeth removed. I would put him in and he would wig out. Not a good smell for the memory I guess. Now he gets a harness and has no issues. But he also knows Ill kick his ass if hes a lil dick head. :p

The kitten loves to nurse on this blanket. She fell asleep in the middle of doing it ♡

We had a cat a long time ago. She was an orphan so I think that’s why she did it. We nick named her “carpet sucker”

Our 9 year old cat would do that all the time as a kitten (and still does the whole pawing thing every now and then). She would suck on blankets and even my shirt until it changed color from being so damp.

To all those who inquired about Angel...

It is with a very heavy heart that my wife and I had to let our Angel cross over to Heaven this afternoon. We had hoped to get her through Christmas, but the cancer was growing back just too fast and started to affect her quality of life and her vet agreed that it was the best decision. We couldn't bear to have her anywhere but the home she knew and was loved in. She lays in eternal rest behind our home just outside our dining room where she'll only be a pounce away from the birds, squirrels, and rabbits she watched every day. Three large stones in the name of our Father, Son, and Holy Ghost mark her resting place.

Because of her, we never had a Christmas Tree, but instead had something that we affectionately called the Annual Tree of Temptation. She was pillow stealer in the middle of the night, namely mine. Just a few things that were uniquely her... She was an adventurer, specifically loved plastic caps from shaving cream cans, small cat sized nerf balls, hiding pens, nose bumping everyone she liked, and routinely climbing into the Tree of Temptation to BE an ornament because setting new records for breaking them each year wasn't good enough.

She will always be loved, always missed, and we look forward to holding her again when we are called.
