That's a Snow Bengal. Bengals can be brown, snow or silver, spotted, marbled or rossetted. All due to the different breeds in the Bengal development. There is American Short Hair, Siamese (Snows), Egyptian Mau (Silvers).

While I was installing my tonneau cover from Christmas, I noticed that someone figured out how to climb onto my tire.

I know this is going to explode in my face as soon as I post it, but why? There are already so many unwanted animals in shelters. I don't want to start an argument, but breeding more just adds to the misery. Why would anyone spend money on a cat from a breeder while letting another one get murdered at a shelter because nobody wanted her? Just because you want one with stripes? I will never understand that. I've only ever had strays and rescues, and every one has been wonderful.

She's never done it before, and I doubt it'll happen again. I think the only reason she got up there was to try and get to me since I was working on the truck. They usually stay in the trees or bushes the whole time.

We used to have a cat that liked to crawl into our cars to sleep in the back until we got into the habit of keeping the windows up. She spent a few days in my office after sleeping through the ride to work unseen. My wife had to keep her at work a few times too.

I don’t expect any arguments here. We are all cat lovers yet we may have differing opinions. It’s no secret that since we brought home our late cat Maxie she made such a lasting impression on us that we’ve only gotten Siamese since her. Fortunately there are a lot of Siamese out there needing a good home that we would and never will resort to a breeder. Even if the world ran out of Siamese we’d get whatever, purple with pink dots, as long as it just spoke with us. I usually see it in their eyes if it’s right or not.

Oh my goodness! What a horrific story!
I would be absolutely devastated as well. My cats never go outdoors but I never thought about the neighborhood ones that do live outside. :pout:

Hello all. Well all five of mine have been bathed and blow dried! We have survived with no scratches!

I know we’ve had the debate on here before about bathing cats but so we don’t go down that road again....my wife is allergic, but she won’t give up the cats. She found out she was allergic after we already had several, so in her mind she just needs to deal with it and bathing them helps her out. Of course not the day of bathing them...that day she’s a wreck.

We give ours a bath too, but only when they need it which is about twice a year and only in the warmer months of spring-fall here in SoCal. We also blow dry them. Our first Maine Coon absolutely loved being blow dried and over time, they all eventually accepted their baths as a reality without fighting, but the certainly voiced their opinion on the matter. We have no idea what Bella will be like when she gets her first bath next spring.

So am I to assume that Snow Bengals are less common as there is only the one?

That’s about how often we give ours a bath too. Today is a bit on the cool side (we are in SoCal too) but we cranked up the heater in the house and went for it. They don’t go outside so they’ll be fine. After we are done blow drying them, the only thing that’s a little damp are the back feet. None of them much care for grooming of the back legs?? Once they get wet they deal with the process pretty well. It’s getting a hold of them (when they see the first one get picked up, the rest go into hidey spots) and then getting them in the sink (they go into the full legs out pose) and yes they do voice their displeasure.
Afterwards though, they prance around like their poop doesn’t stink and we are so lucky to even be looking at them. They do entertain us!

Awesome! She definitely is a gorgeous cat. Seems like she’s pretty comfy too!

By the way, I showed my wife Bella’s picture and besides your cat she couldn’t get over how beautiful your Christmas tree is.

    Thank you kind sir. :hattip:

They've slowly gotten closer and closer in proximity throughout the day. Bella is pretty nonchalant about the whole thing which makes sense since she left a rescue behind of 20 some cats with no privacy to a house with just one other cat. Bella's only sorta hosted a couple times and doesn't give up her ground. t's an easy day for her. I'm sure Bella's getting caught up on a lot of needed R&R.
