Sooo sorry to hear about your loss!!! Looks like he was an amazing kitty- great photo with great memories. There are so many of us on here that know exactly how you’re feeling and what you’re going through. So many people out there will say “it’s just a cat”. Oh no it’s way more than that for sure!

Gizmo is making me work LOL !!!!

He gets one of his toys and takes it into the living room and swats the toy under my TV stand . Then makes one attempt to retrieve it then Meows loudly

Its like he's saying "Hooman get my toy" !!! , this can be repeated several times before he gives up !!

Also ever heard a Maine Coon drink water ??? , I swear Gizmo sounds like a large dog slurping up his water !!!!

They really are amazing and this is really what it’s all about! For as many times as they can be a PITA, when it comes right down to it, they are our fuzz therapy!!

Of course you may want to check all your shoes before you put them on. You may find a little surprise.

Why do you keep messing with the blanket?

He reminds me of Toothless from “How to Train Your Dragon” here.

Our cat Lexi does the same thing with her toys. It seems like checking under the fridge, oven, etc has become a daily routine for us.

Luckily I've got one of those medical reach extenders I got from the hospital after my knee replacement and it come in handy . I now call it my cat toy retrieval tool LOL!!!!

One time when we were gone on vacation, our cat sitter bought the cats a stocking full of toys. We didn’t realize she emptied all the toys out. We were finding balls, mice, and all kinds of other things for days and days. All over the place. I’m sure there’s things still around. And yes, that’s how we found the one under the dryer. The cat was just staring at the dryer meowing his head off. At first we thought that he had just finally totally lost it! Then it dawned on us.

It’s funny because my mom bought her about 5 of the exact same toy since she loses them often, but they ALL still seem to get lost so quickly. However, one will show up every now and then when she manages to reach them. I’ve been using some random tools in our kitchen to reach the toys.

    Speaking of toys....

How do you guys feel about catnip? Do you let your cats have it? Do you buy toys with catnip in them?

I usually don’t give mine any. No particular reason why, so thought I’d throw it out to you guys on your thought?!

My cats love catnip either the spray or the dried ground up version . They get some at least 2x's a month , I usually use the spray on their toys or on their cat trees to keep them interested in them

The dried version I usually dump a little onto the floor and let them roll around in it !!

I give it to mine, mostly the spray kind. She normally just buries her face in whatever toy I spray it on for about 10 seconds then lays down and uses it as a pillow to fall asleep on. Guess she just gets high and wants to take a nap
