My mother-in-law was dealing with that with her cat (Boy) for a while before he passed away. He was so easy and she could give him the shots before she left for work and after dinner. He would jump on the table and expect a few treats while she gave the shot.

Yeah we had pee-pads around the litter boxes and in a corner of the living room. Closer to her passing we would be changing 6-10 pee-pads per day.

My wife is ready for another cat. She said this has been the longest time gap that she's never had an animal. She lived at home and had 2 childhood cats and then moved to the current house we live in 10 years ago and got Abigail shortly after moving in.

Hard to believe that the grey one is the same tiny, sickly little kitten that my wife brought home 3.5 months ago. She's gotten so big and is very healthy.

Henry continues to do well on his heart failure meds, but one of them (Vetmedin) is on national back-order with no indication of when it might be available. This is a vet-only med with no equivalent, so having to change him over to an alternative would be risky. I have about a one month supply left...

As for now, Henry and the other cats are enjoying the fireplace and sleeping on top of us. Here's a typical picture of Henry and Ginger enjoying the heat. His quality of life seems to be pretty good at the moment.

Hopefully the medicine becomes available sooner than later. Looks like he's being well pampered :D

At least you are trying. I just hope he's fixed and not sick. Maybe it will get better over time. Either way, thanks for trying!
