Same here and if the door isn’t latched completely she gets in no matter what- that determined. Haven’t heard of that litter. Does it clump at all? Will have to look into it. My cousin owns a small chain of pet stores so I’ll see if he carries it.
Our cats spend as much time scratching on the outside of the box as the inside. Going to the bathroom is quite an event for them. It’s isually followed by a burst of energy and start running around the house like crazy. For me it’s just a sigh of relief.

I've used it in the past and thought it was good. But for some reason, our Lexi eventually turned her nose up at it in favor of the clay. I'm not sure what changed for her, but whatever it takes to make them happy...

Yeah it clumps. We get it at Petco. They seem to like it. :notsure:

Ours too. As long as they use the box I’ll deal with the litter box antics.
Definitely agree...whatever makes them happy.

We've had these scares a couple times with Lola and Enzo recently.

With Lola it turned out she had bit of inflammation in the gums, they gave her a pain killer and antibiotics and she was back to normal within a day or two. That was during the summer, so knock on wood she'll be good to go for a while.

Then just recently Enzo (big ass male cat, like 15lbs and the reason we can't leave food out) lost his appetite and couldn't keep his food down, since he isn't very cooperative at the vet they couldn't tell us much. My wife's coworker suggested changing his food, that sometimes they develop allergies (we've been using vet prescribed food for years because of his issues). Switched to Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach about a month ago, and once again...knock on wood...he hasn't had any issues.

Hopefully it's just something easy like that :fingerscrossed:

That is itty bitty. Smokey is 16-17lbs and isn't carrying any extra weight. Toni was 8lbs at her last vet visit but she's only 8 months old.

Keep working at it. He knows he's got a good thing going and he just needs more time. Days like this help reinforce that your giving him the comfort and care he needs. Make sure he gets treats and snacks for being good and cooperative.

do you think he was born in the wild or just got abused? I think he'll come around...most cats adapt to their environment.

Our outside cat doesnt like getting picked up at all. She stays for about 2 seconds then squirms out of our hands. She does like getting belly rubs and petted just not getting picked up.

Our older cat (about 9 now, we got her as a kitten from a friend who found her in a barn) is the same way. We've recently tried to "train" her into letting us pick her up, etc. by doing so before each treat. She has definitely become more loving when it comes to petting and sleeping with us.

Yeah, I got her some soft treats and she doesnt really eat them--she takes a nibble then leave them for the feral cats to get! I think this cat is only a couple years old. Not real playful like most cats we've had. but she takes care of the rodents outside. Shes a weird cat, doesnt like raw fish but loves milk. Purrs when you rub her belly and pet her.

Auggie update: vet says she’s definitely got some kind of infection. They’re doing a culture on the urine to determine more. We are going back this evening at 5 to get her in for fluids and pick up an antibiotic.
I’ve become rather skilled at the art of feeding a pill to a cat so no worries there.

She ate a good breakfast and lunch kibble today, we are hopeful she can beat it.

Gizmo was 100% a Feral cat when I found him , he was not more than 6-8 weeks old and his Mom used to hang out on my patio with him . It's almost like she was trying to find someone to take car of him

Gizmo was a little skittish at first but within a few days he wouldn't leave my side . Now if I open the front door he won't go anywhere near it
