Still no clue who the "owner" is. But, as long as it keeps chasing birds and squirrels, I will keep food and water out for it and the tailless cat that hunts the mice.

I wish that was the case for two of mine. You quit and they come after you... One, Emma has been known to sit for two HOURS getting belly rubs. Goofball.

Or possibly three belly rubs. Or potentially one belly rub and then a mouthful of hand. It's a gamble...

This little dude’s getting big, 10 lbs already. He can’t be more than 8-9 months. Hopefully his growing tapers off soon lol

Sounds like a great change for you guys. How was it taking your cats there. Any political red tape and how did they do with the traveling there? My cat would hate me- she doesn’t like heat or humidity or both.

There was paperwork to fill out. From the vet after a medical exam and all shots being up to date. Plus a for from a government office that deals with paperwork from the vet and fills out a federal travel form, that had to get done within 7 days of flying down here. Then producing it at both airports. Plus the carriers had to be a certain size to fit under the seats in front of use. It sounds bad, but at least there wasn't any quarantine required once we got here. We were able to bring them right to the new house..We also got them small doses of medication from the vet to help calm them down a bit. They did really well. I think l was more worried about them, than they were stressed.

Where we are, in the Central Valley, the humidity and heat are lower. Much more tolerable for animals and for humans

I hate the humidity as well, and l find it really comfortable where we are. No issues for the kitties at all with the weather.

Sounds like quite a bit but I can only imagine your relief no having to quarantine them. That would be a deal breaker for me. What part of the country are you in? Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Not too much experience with the interior but the coastal areas are amazing. Hope there’s not too many mosquitos there either. Hate those little bastards!!!

Yeah the no quarantine part was a HUGE relief. Basically it was a very long day for them by the time we got them to our place here. But they were really good. Much better than l ever imagined they would be.

We're in the Central Valley. Basically if you look at a map of Costa Rica. Look at the capital city 'San Jose'. We're about 45 minutes west by northwest from there.

Costa Rica has numerous micro climates. When we drive into San Jose or to the coast. The temperature and humidity goes up about 10 - 15 degrees in that 45 minutes.
