We had a cat this color when I was a kid. She would chase us in the yard and if you had bare feet, watch out!

 

Looks like a domestic. I initially thought maybe an ocelot, but they aren't common in your area.

 

I had a dog a few weeks ago and a coyote on Christmas day. It is a half mile from the main road so seeing a cat was odd. Someone may have dumped it and it was just looking for food and water. There are rabbits, birds and squirrel, rattlers and I have my very own road runner with a nest. There are also plenty of field mice out there so it should be able to get some grub.

 

Some more shelter love today. Meet Oscar. 2 year old DSH. Stray. What a big lovable guy he is. Great temperament and very affectionate. Just up for adoption. He will not last long.



And my daughter is an equal opportunity animal lover. This is Mocha. He's about 6 months old. An owner give-up. It certainly couldn't be because of his personality. The moment we opened his cage he came right over to us. My daughter held him long enough that he started to fall asleep. Very acclimated to people, with none of the gitterines you often see in rabbits. Such a sweet gentleman .

 

I would adopt them all if I could...

 

Just looks like a big kitty. But from your description.... I was looking for a car the first time i watched, (saying wtf, where is the God damn car) but only seeing a animal.

 

Funny, you also probably was saying what package did they steal too. So this is a bit of a remote location for us but I have it wired to the hilt so if a cricket farts I know as I get a text. Will try to post a picture of that one. Haha ..

I have taken my three indoor cats there but they would be coyote food if they get out. So I was just trying to figure out if it was a ferral cat or something else.

My wife and mother-in-law went to Georgia this past Wednesday-Saturday so my mother-in-law asked if I could feed/check on her cat (Callie) in the evenings while they were gone.
My mother-in-law adopted Callie back on her birthday (December 26th). Callie was said to be 3 years old (they couldn't give her an exact age). She was very shy at first but quickly warmed up. She is still a bit timid (more so when she hears noises outside) but definitely has adjusted well.

Anyways. Here are a few pictures from when I went down and fed/checked up on her. She loves her head/face rubbed but not a fan of her lower back/butt side rubbed too much. Oh! She drooled on me one day while I was petting her lol

 

Good on you for cat sitting! If she drooled on you from being petted, she's very comfortable with you.
