Let's See Your Cats!!!

Gizmo is starting to turn brown , he's almost 6 yrs old and in the last year or so been noticing his black fur changing to brown

Currently only black fur noticeable is on his head and tail

 

Interesting. We’ve always referred to him as just dark orange.

Cinnamon... I like that.

 

I've always thought that Gizmo has had a tyrosine deficiency ( lack of melanin) as that's common on black cats . But I remember his Dad had the same color coat

 

Fluffy Butt Is doing the same thing. Can see it in the rays of the sun. No pic of it as of yet, got this one last night

 

Those whiskers! There’s a face in there somewhere.

 

Why must changing sheets be so difficult? Oh yeah, it's because...

 

Apparently I haven't yet learned my lesson about wrestling with cats.

sadly, she passed away last year, at the end of june 2018. She was 21 years old.
She was still running and playing around the house like a kitten and catching mice outside, until her health deteriorated very quickly




this is the last picture I took of her, like, one or two weeks before everything went downhill. She would come and sniff around the truck every day and evening after I was done working on my truck , as If she was inspecting and approving of what I did. Can you believe that she was actually older than my truck?

*sigh* despite my new cat, I still miss her a lot..... She's been part of my life since I was 4 or 5 years old

So sorry to hear that she passed and it's never easy. We lost our Maine Coon, Angel late last year, about two weeks before Christmas, to an aggressive cancer that developed in her mouth. You'll always have the good things to remember her by just as we do with Angel. The one thing that I will miss the most about our Angel is that she would literally steal my pillow every night and leave me with just little corner of it. I ended up getting a second pillow just for her which ultimately netted me 1/2 a pillow. LOL

 

My cat does that to my wife and I every night. We get in bed, and 10 seconds later he jumps up and plops himself right between our heads and takes turns head butting us until he decides which one of us he's going to sleep on the outside of for the remainder of the night

For the past 2 weeks my cat Louisa has been sleeping on my pillow and every morning around 2am I wake up to her licking my head. By the time I realize she’s doing it my head is actually a little sore from her rough little tongue. Nonsure what has sparked this new behavior- kind of out of the blue. She is definitely a strange cat who’s been through a lot. This is her about 5 minutes ago... typical Louisa.

Typically it's a grooming thing. Mine will jump on my chest and I have to fight to not be licked clean and groomed.

 

My cat also does this. I shave my (mostly bald) head, I think he just likes the feel of it. Me, not so much.
