I'm sorry he looks a little beat up.. He's too many years old, it appears his kidneys are failing, he has some appetite pills and special food. He weighs now less TOTAL than his amputated leg of years ago. No suffering allowed though.

This is how he sleeps just about every night lol

 

Take in every moment you can, cherish it, and make him as comfortable as you can. When our Angel passed away last Christmas, I couldn't sleep the night before we took her to the vet. She slept on my pillow, still allowing me only a tiny corner, but I petted her all night long. I may have dozed off to her purring, but I remember constantly wiping my tears away all night long. She was daddy's girl for sure...

Dang that’s deep for sure!!! Almost like painful yet happy memories at theBsame time. The last three days before my Maxie passed she refused to sleep in the bed with us. That was a horrible feeling as we knew the end was getting near. We’d bring her into bed with us and she would immediately get up and go lay in a corner of the living room. My wife still hates that corner and when Suki got sick last year she would go lay in that same corner-!hated that! It’s been like 4 years since she’s been gone and still get heartbroken when I think about her. Same as you, definitely daddy’s little girl. I could never fathom being a parent and having lost a child.

 

How have I been here this long and never seen this thread? Going to be hard to find pictures of all 5 of our cats lol

I have days like that as well, I just don’t fit on the arm of the couch as well.

Thanks a lot. We got a resupply of his appetite pills, and he's "doing better" at snubbing 4 dishes and water. And while it may seem "unseemly", he finally took a small #2 in the hallway today. Wrong place, but first in weeks. So, there is that. Thanks everyone who has liked his little posts.
