We had a female tuxedo cat that was a real working cat. We got her as a young barn cat from my aunt who lived out in the country. She was on patrol around the property during the daytime and an indoors cat at night. She had tangled with a water moccasin snake and had to recover from a nasty bite on her back. She killed rodents, snakes, lizards, any kind of yard pest. I would like to get another tuxedo cat like her. Tuxedos are an interesting breed.
This cat was as protective of her property as any dog that I've seen. In fact, she had no fear of dogs. She liked to play with them when they came walking by.

 

Our older cat is still having trouble accepting our new kitten; it's been 7 days now. Slow improvements though. They finally got close enough without Kink growling for their first photo together. It's gonna be a loooooong ride

 

We got a new kitten about 6 weeks ago. Our oldest cat Sheba still hisses and growls at her if she dares get too close. But Sheba is doing it less and less everyday. While our other cat Bella has been playing with her for the last month.
Each cat is sure different in the time it takes to accept a new kitten. But we know it'll all work out eventually. Kittens never give up

 

We’ve had Ollie & Harry for a couple years now and Auggie still barely tolerates them.

 

Sadly, The Boy tangled with a possum & is now buried with our other "kids". We tried to tame him but it wasn't meant to be. He was special.

 

That really sucks, but it's not for lack of trying. Thanks for giving him a chance.

Sorry to hear, but at least he's resting with a family that loved him.

 

I have a brother and sister from the same litter that have never lived apart. He could care less. She can’t stand being in the same room with him...
