Thanks for the update. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that it’s skin tumors and not an internal mass.

For what it is worth, I totally agree with your decision to do things the way you are. My wife and I would do exactly the same thing.

Well efforts over the last few days to sneak a tape measure in beside him have failed. This is the closest I've been able to get to a crude measurement. The cushion's 26 inches long, and he's not fully stretched out.

And our other cat, Toni, is a very average 9lb female.

He's still not real happy about his diet. :notsure:

I'm wondering if anyone else on here has a small sized cat?

My old cat was 9lbs, while my new cat is 6.5lbs and has the size of a six month old. She turned one year old exactly two weeks ago. Old cat was female too

Vet says she's healthy as can be, but It still looks odd to me that the new cat is way smaller. I don't know, maybe it is because I've had my other cat for 21 years....:D:p

We have two female cats that are small. One is about 5 pounds, the other is about 6 pounds. They are both as happy and healthy as can be....just small. :)

yeah, she's not dwarf, she's just... small. Not a purebred either, just your average tabby cat (but chocolate brown)

But I think the small size may have to do with the fact that she was a very sick kitten when she was found and rescued.

Yes, one of my Cornish Rexes (named Ripley) is 5lbs on a good day before her poop. She's the happiest and smartest cat I've had, and I've had a lot. She was the runt of the litter. Some of them just run small...

Could be a number of things. I wouldn’t worry about it too much as long as she’s healthy. Our one that weighs 6 pounds bosses everybody around and doesn’t take crap from her bigger brothers who weigh more than twice what she does.

Our cat Louisa is 6.5-7 lbs and she so tiny compared to Amos who 16 lbs now. Louisa was a stray kitten in the shelter and had a litter at 9 months old. All the kittens died and Louisa nearly died too. Luckily our friends a SCSR rescued her and saved her life before we adopted her. I think some of that took its toll on her mentally and it probably stunted her growth. She’s now 4.5 years old

My wife's cat was found as a tiny feral kitten in a parking garage covered in motor oil, barely hanging on to life. 6 years later now he's a solid 12lb ball of muscle and fur lol. I swear if a pitbull were a cat it would be this dude.

He's still afraid of his own shadow though

Wish we knew his breed but haven't been able to figure it out yet.

woops, I meant the size of a 9 month old. My old cat was a total fluffball, so she looked twice the size she actually was. Current cat is like 3/4 of her size and less fluffy

must have been really tired yesterday, I don't know lol

    Here he is

    20190518_091727~2.jpg

    20190518_091724~2.jpg

He looks like a regular Shorthair grey/white tuxedo but he's built like a small tank, pretty stocky compared to my cat who's a black/white Shorthair.

He also has no neck and I make fun of him for looking like a seal when he lays down

Vet said he looks like some kind of Thai breed at least partially but we forgot what the name was, was awhile ago
