Yeah they are! I was surprised. It's rated for like 15lbs but they are around 11lbs each.

I showed my GF the cat hammock pic and she loved it. Neither of us has seen that before. Quick Amazon check and I found a bunch, including one that is rated for 50lbs. Looking at the reviews one of them said her German Shepherd puppy got in it and it held. Apparently it uses commercial or industrial suction cups...

    lol that's not nice!

We have one that you saw pictured and then we were given another one that is super fancy. Suction cups have these spin dials that makes it super tight to the window. I don't think I have a picture of that one tho.

Another question: How do you prevent your cats from jumping on the kitchen counters?

If you have Kept your countertop clean, thereby Removing some of the temptations of leaving food, crumbs, or other treats on the counter that your cat may be drawn to... have you ever tried double-sided tape?

Thanks for the reply. The counter tops are clean. There isn't anything out for them to eat. I guess maybe because we've only had them for a little over a week they want to inspect everything? There is a window over the sink so maybe they want to look outside?

lol they can jump quite him. I don't want them to get fat and then not play lol

Yeah I know but I'll have to clean the counter tops everyday.. :(

We tried that double side tape stuff and it didn't work at all lol. We'd watch as each of our 3 cats would walk right across it, didn't seem to mind that it was sticky. And then that stuff is a pain in the ass to remove when you don't want it there anymore, at least ours was. I had to soak it in goo-gone for awhile and scrub it off, took several tries.

Ahh... there are two things Buddy loved, one was any type of box/bag and the other was watching out windows, maybe place two-sided tape on that window sill.

As with the others, you kind of can't. The air sprayers sort of work but are equally startling to myself as they are to the cat so I'm not sure that's a win or not. Oddly we've noticed if we leave something out for ours to stand on next to the countertop he isn't totally inclined to jump up. Maybe a stool or cat tree nearby where they can observe?

My cat Buddy was double pawed with extra hair on his paws, so the sticky tape pulling on the hairs was enough to discourage turning my recliner into the swiss fabric scratchpad.

Ah yeah I can see longer hair cats not liking it...2 of ours are short hair so I think it just doesn't bother them much. Plus, the tape lost it's stickiness after a couple weeks from all the hair that stuck to it lol.

My special girl. Brought her in one rainy night. She was full of scabs and her fur was nasty. She slept for 48 hours then woke up and immediately wanted back outside. That didn’t last more then a hour before she wanted back in. Been sleeping wherever she wants since then :)

My neighbor was given a cat I think he said was an African breed, with it loving hot temperatures and just by looking at its unusually slim skeletal frame and very little fur.

Something I brought up to my neighbor when I was house-sitting for him gave us both a good laugh. I told him, once I brought Buddy over to meet Frank, with Frank having no reaction to a strange cat in its home, but Buddy, on the other hand, was hissing defensively ready to fight like Frank was intruding on his home...LOL.
