    Never heard of a cat getting a "brazillian" before. That's a new one for TMI journal.

    We took my GF cats to the vet for a checkup. The vet recommend a "prescription" cat food. The vet had to write a prescription in order for us to buy it. Right away I was skeptical but she was ready to buy a large bag of the expensive stuff. Besides my misgivings about a "prescription" cat food the cats are very picky about what they eat and I couldn't see spending that kind of money. I found sample bags online, still needed the "prescription", and got one. Cats wouldn't touch it.

    I did research and found there was no special ingredient and the whole thing is a scam with the pet food companies. By calling it "prescription" people think it's something special and they can charge more.

    Both Gizmo and Rascal have been eating Blue wilderness grain free Duck dry food for quite awhile now , Not sure if they'll eat that prescription dry food

    I might just get the Blue wilderness indoor formula Hairball remedy dry food .

    We had to buy the big 20lb bags of prescription cat food because one of our cats was diagnosed as being diabetic for awhile (turned out he wasn't, long story). So we had to buy the Royal Canin stuff that you need to present a prescription for from the vet. It was almost $80 a bag and would last maybe 6 weeks between 3 cats. Was basically just a regular cat food that was good for their kidneys but for some reason you needed a script to get it.

    Fortunately after we learned he didn't need it we were able to get the same kind of food only the over the counter brand which is half the price

    Many moons ago I went to a customers farm to work on a tractor AC. It was in a shed, so I got in to back it out and an orange tabby jumped in with me. :eek: The cat calmly took a seat on the ledge by the side window. I thought as soon as I hit the key I would be shredded by a cat wanting TF out. He just sat there so I backed out, did my thing, and the cat seemed to enjoy the cool air. I put the tractor back and carried the cat out so I could shut the door.
    Next time I saw the guy he said he was feeding cattle one day and the cat was sitting on the hitch behind the tractor. He opened the back window and the cat jumped in the cab with him. Rode with him ever since. Just a dumb farm cat, lol.

    I don't know why Hobbes would want a new scratching pad. It looks to me like he's carved this one into the perfect shape for resting on.

    Ok TW cat thread friends, time for an introduction of the newest family member - Goggles. Goggles is a four y/o sight impaired (very cross eyed) loving boy and is slowly being integrated into the fold. Been here a week (segregated in our dining room) and was just introduced (briefly and supervised) to his special needs little sister. He will be introduced to his same age brother Marty soon. Hoping for a smooth integration.

    Well it looks like Rascal and Gizmo have given the Royal Canin prescription dry cat food a thumbs down !!! , they won't even touch it . Went down to my local Petco store and got a bag of Blue wilderness indoor / hairball dry food . Basically the same as the prescription food and they like it

    :facepalm::notsure:
