Yes absolutely I agree! Even with kittens I've had, I try to not even pick their back feet up off the ground. Last thing I want to do is hurt something that I care about. You just have to apply a little common sense when handling these guys. When it comes down to a battle of will they'll win every time. If they are fighting too much just let it go and then go to plan B.

This, but your vet can do a snap test for those ailments and have results in 15 minutes.

Try the scruff but some cats it doesn't help with, such as my Scratch

Well I'm officially emotionally attached. I spent the better part of a week trying to care for a kitten. It wouldn't so much as let me touch it for most of the week. Now it's sitting on my lap purring while meowing so I pay more attention to it.

Cats are awesome experience which makes me wonder why some people hate them. I know they can be independent but once you understand their nature and loyalty to you, you understand them better. I have two and their personalities are completely different. Even they older cat that can be mean to the other cat and dogs comes when my son calls her. She sleeps with him every night and licks his head while he sleeps. My wife says that he's her human. They grew up together and love each other very much. Cats are great if you can just take them for what they are.

Don't do it! (I'm seriously just kidding!). This is what will happen if you bring a feral cat into your home...

(Feral cat, I made insulated box to keep it out of cold. Lured it into box with food. -I had been feeding it for several weeks, moving food closer and closer to box and house- eventually moved box close to house so I could put a heating pad under it. Got cat just comfy enough that I could pet her and gently put her into a crate. Took to vet, got spayed. Had to keep sequestered in shower stall while stitches healed. Left open shower door one day. Now I can't get rid of the thing. -and I would never! It's just our running joke around here!)

No clue! Some say she looks like ragdoll. But I don't think she'll have the long fur like one. Looks similar to grumpy cat lol

How did everyone's cats get their names?

    Elliot (Stabler)
    Olivia (Benson)
The friend that I adopted them from, it's our two fave tv characters.

Emma. Found her on Morris-Majestic Rd. MM. So Emma.

Bitsy. (The so-called feral) Originally was Barn Cat then BC for short. And if you're drinking, BC becomes Bitsy.

We adopted our first two on our honeymoon in Florida - stray litter found by my wife's cousin in St. Augustine.
    Ponce for Ponce de Leon.
    Augi for st Augustine.

Our newest one was an orphaned kitten all by himself. Reminded me of the Orphan Oliver Twist.
    Hence Ollie.

"Getting out of hand" - Wife
I'll play, so we have three...

Enzo. I come home to see a new kitten at home, wife tells me sorry but I'm free to name him. She says, how about car names? So of course I go with the man himself, Enzo Ferrari

Phoebe. Well, here we are about a year or so later getting another kitten from the shelter. Already named phoebe, and she was a bit older upon adopting so we stick with it.

Lola. Third time is the charm, this time wife tells me to name our new little girl. Well, the usual car names go through my head again (Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus) but don't want a stripper name. So I go old school and look at some photos of my grandfather's old racing days and see a beautiful late 60's Lola race car. Lola it is
