Let's See Your Cats!!!

We had watched the new Jungle Book movie in theaters and a few months after we found our Bagheera, thought she was a boy lol. Then we got another and named him Baloo to keep it going. Now we have King Louie who was adopted by my gf's sister. And the white one (was Grumpy) we named Akela which is the white wolf in JB. Halle, we got from Cat Woman lol. Anakin, gf wanted to name him Darth Vader for some reason so i said Anakin. And Godiva! Well she is just the sweetest lol

Phoebe haha! I immediately thought of Friends. Smelly cat! Smelly cat! Why are you so smelly!!?

Lol we had 3 other dogs over this weekend so 7 cats and 4 cats under the roof

 

Now what do I do with it?

 

I don't like (and I try not to let) my cats killing lizards or birds. It's rare for them. But the damn gophers are tearing up everything this year! I usually get brought 2-3 'presents' on a good day. They earn their keep!

Dusty was never taught by his mom to hunt so he just catches them, let's them go and catches them again. This one was just playing dead, I let it go a little later.

We have a dog door here (installed by previous owner) and I thought it would be great to teach the cats to use it so the wouldn't beg and bother me all day in. Out. In. Out. In again... They all picked it up quick. Then they brought in a not-so-dead rodent and the chase was on. Me chasing the rodent. Cat chasing the rodent. Cat scrambling to stay out of my way. Rodent freaked out obviously. Needless to say the dog door has been covered ever since.

They are great cats. One found me when it was about 2 months old. I was looking at heavy equipment to buy, and he ran up my leg and Meowed at me. I picked him off my leg and he went up on to my shoulder, and in the hood of my sweat shirt he hung out in there for an hour or more as I finished picking out the machines I wanted. I wasn't a cat person, but I had this feeling I should take him home.
He was my shadow, always next me no matter what. He got huge too. Was able to stand on his hind legs and put his chin on the kitchen table. Weighed 27lbs. and wasn't fat just a big a$$ cat! I had him for 18 years. He passed away 3 years ago. Still miss him.

Suki is one of our Siamese short for Mitsuko- her name from rescue
Weezer the other Siamese short for Louisa- rescue name too.
Albert (tabby), in his youth, was a total trouble maker. I worked with a guy Jack who's real/ first name was Albert and he was a total trouble maker. So my Albert was named after him.
Even though she's no longer with us Alberts sister (both adopted stray/feral) was named Max (pic above). She was so little when we brought her home we didn't know if she was male or female. We liked max and then when we found out she was a she we just kept it max short for Maxine. Sorry if this seemed too long
