One thing about young cats it's not so hard to exercise them.....old cats and dogs? Forget it. :dancingbacon:

Ours had a breath problem also. We had her teeth cleaned not too long ago and it went away. She's a chonk also. Haha

Yes the one (Stormy - on the left in my pic above) likes to play with the toy on the end of the stick but Boots (on the right in the pic) doesn't like playing with that. He will play fetch like a dog with me and bring the mouse toy back to me lol

lol it was just the angle. Made them look bigger ;)

Two weeks ago, I had to put down our beloved Twinkie.

18 years ago as a broke college student, I was working a late shift fixing a 4 inch water leak in an apartment complex. When i saw some tenants kick a kitten out into the rainy cold night.
Later that night after work, I went back to the jobsite and stole what would become the cat we've had for the longest time. Twinkie wasn't your ordinary cat. He was a great mouse hunter, snuggler, companion, and kitten mentor.

He taught other kittens we've had how to catch mice, be cats, and more importantly how to loaf around.

A month ago, my sister called me telling me she was taking him to the vet because he didn't look well. He was diagnosed with cancer and only had a few weeks to live.
He lost weight so fast, it was unbelievable. He stopped eating, wouldn't move around, and when we noticed he wasn't drinking fluids, we knew it was time. I broke down to sobbing tears after I picked him up to say my final goodbye - and after days of not moving or meowing, he gave me three final meows. It's as if he knew it was time and he was acknowledging my goodbye.

Goodbye old friend, here's to your randomness. All those times you'd snuggle next to me as I stayed up late studying for college finals. Those times I had to climb up the roof to get you down.

The oldest pic I have of him. That's my brother, he is now 16.

Yes. I remember how curled up he was when he was out in the cold that night. I picked him up and he maintained his curled position. Poor thing.

It’s so damn hard when they leave us. It’s been over a year since my 19 year old cat passed and I still can’t talk about her or think about her without crying. So sorry for the loss of Twinkie :(

It’s good people like you that restores my faith in humanity. Thank you so much for taking in this fur ball and giving him the long, quality life he so deserved. It’s always difficult when our puppies/kitties leave us to go to fur heaven. RIP Twinkie

Took Ollie & Harry to the vet together today. Turns out Harry is 15.8lbs and Ollie is 14.8lbs. I knew he was chonk but was surprised to find out he’d surpassed Ollie.
The were both very well behaved and got their shots with zero fuss. :D

Auggie has a follow up appt on Wednesday. She’s put back some weight and is pretty much back to her normal self.
