Oh no!!! Hope it’s something simple- fingers crossed. Same symptoms Suki had before diagnosed with IBD. If they don’t see anything conclusive my guess that they hydrate Mo and possibly prescribe low dose steroid. Hope they don’t have to do that though.

Sadly its not looking good. They did some blood tests and it looks like he has kidney/renal disease :(

He was severely dehydrated with sky high renal numbers indicating possible disease. Not uncommon in older cats (he's 10). They're going to keep him at the clinic for a couple days and hydrate him along with some other medications to see if they can stabilize him enough to send him home.

Crazy how expensive emergency vet clinics are. Cost $1400 for the visit plus his 2 night stay and meds/tests. That was after we declined the $800 xray and related tests.

Mo was my wife's first cat she rescued when she moved here to LA several years ago, I've grown fond of the furball since we met even though he's always loved to pee on the curtains. Hoping for the best

Sorry to hear this. :( Sometimes after they flush and hydrate them they can get better levels and you can maintain them with a special diet. Hoping for the best. :fingerscrossed:

Hope he pulls through and responds to treatment. Like @Taco Buggy stated getting them super hydrated just helps them feel better and can help the numbers. From there it’s all about the diet and keeping him hydrated. We used to give Albert an iv of ringers almost every day. 10 years old seems pretty young but I guess some cats can have a disposition to it. My prayers go out to you guys. Hang in there

If there was a “love” button I would have hit that for sure. “Like” is just a little understated. Thanks for the kitten fix.

Hey guys since this is a cat thread I was curious about if anyone has experienced anything like what I am. I got both my cats as kittens. Nala (the ones in the pictures I posted) has always kind of been stand offish, doesn’t like to be held, and distant. We moved to a new place this week and now she’s been really nice and affectionate.
I’m kind of curious if maybe there was something in the last apartment making her skin sensitive. I dunno but it’s almost like a light switch. She’s nicer, calmer, just all around more enjoyable. Any ideas??

Ummm the only constant with cats is that they are crazy. Enjoy the love while you can.

A sudden personality change could also mean she’s plotting on you. Have you taken out a new life insurance plan recently?

Something in the other place was causing her to be anxious or nervous. Could have been neighbors, a sound in the wall..
And dare I say may be even a spiritual entity.
