    Such floof, such chonk

Speaking of chonk, Harley weighed in at 15lbs last year at his vet visit. They told me to switch him from a free feeder to a feeding schedule so they've been getting a half cup in the AM and then a small amount at night since then.
Weighed him this morning and that chonky fucker is at 16lbs now...gonna have to figure out a more strict diet for him. I think the problem is that Mai Thai rarely comes out for food during the day so Harley eats out of his bowl as well.

For us, Enzo was the chonker. He’s down to 12.5 pounds now, but is a glutton for food. So the others get the same strict feeding schedule due to him, works out though because they’re all indoor only. Keeps everyone at just the slightest chonk, but good lord do they get annoying when it’s feeding time....

Yeah I never thought it would be so difficult to get a cat to lose weight lol. But when you have multiple it's hard because their individual appetites vary and you can't exactly expect them to only eat their own food, unless you have the time and means to monitor them all day.

Harley is a natural chonk and won't ever be under 12lbs I think, esp at 9 years old now. But I'd like to try and get him to around 13 for the sake of his health and longevity

Yea it’s hard as hell, Enzo is about the same age. At one point years ago, he was 20 pounds and the vet gave us the diabetes talk. He has a million digestive and urine issues so diet is always on the forefront.

Unfortunately, the other cats have to deal with the changes as we only have time to drop their food in the am and pm. Monitoring during the day isn’t happening.

Hopefully you can get everything worked out :fingerscrossed:

I just weighed my boys now that they’re a month from being a year old.

    Jack (Orange one) is 13.2lbs
    Gus (dark one) is 8.8lbs

not even a year old! But these two are part Maine Coon/Norwegian Forrest Cat so I think we’ve only just begun the growth.

we also don’t free feed. Three meals a day 3/4 cup total for the day. They don’t even eat all of their meals to begin with.
