Let's See Your Cats!!!

We have a few squirrels that come by morning and afternoon for nuts. They sit outside on the fence or hovering around the door until we put out the nuts. We also have several crows that hang out in the morning. In the afternoon there is a bird that takes a bath in the pool just outside the window. Late night shenanigans are 2 raccoons that play and swim and occasionally 2 wandering neighborhood cats that wait for rats, just passing through or getting a drink from the pool.

 

Yeah same here. My grandfather used to shoot squirrels with his .22 rifle from his upstairs bathroom window while sitting on the toilet lol. People find interesting ways of dealing with squirrels but I couldn't do that.

We had really angry, aggressive squirrels on our college campus several years ago...the school sent out an email telling students that the reason was because the squirrels were picking up and eating cigarette butts and had become addicted to nicotine, haha. Smokers were encouraged to properly dispose of their cigs

 

Progress the last few days with Boris (thinking if naming him Ash, as his coat is dark and light grey). Becoming much more affectionate. He very much wants to be friends with Sinbad, but SB, isn’t that into it just yet. Let them meet briefly in the same room, but but SB gave a hiss and a slight swipe. Continue to keep them separated via the bathroom door with food and water for both on either side.

They then proceeded to do the kitty 500 throughout the entire first floor.

 

When this same thing happens here I equate it to the kitty demolition derby. Some speed followed with a large crash and bang.

 

Yes, 9/10 times something gets knocked over in the melee.

FYI - I used to manage for a large box retailer. The inventories on websites generally reflect the inventory as of midnight the day before. It will include what's in the backroom and top stock. I think Walmart updates there's a few times a day now, but most don't. A way to tell how accurate it might be, when in the store, look for empty hooks and shelves (holes). If you see a lot, there is a very good chance the inventory counts are off and the P.O.S. system is not ordering because it doesn't know there aren't any in the store. And most employees don't understand the process enough to know better. I wish I could forget some of this stuff. Hope it saves a little frustration.
