I've recently learned that having a 3 month old at home is rewarding in so many ways, one of which is you can blame farts on the baby. They fart a lot..loudly and without shame

Finally, a nice spring day warm enough to open the back door and let a little fresh air in. Hobbes couldn't be happier.



Guess it's time to pick up the unused firewood and put it back in the wood pile.

 

That was yesterday for us. Opened all the windows and everyone swapped turns sitting on all the windowsills.

 

I go out of town and have a friend come by. Helen sits on her lap, traitor!!

 

We had a storm blow through just before dawn this morning but it cleared up quickly. With the rain and now the sun I think I can hear the grass growing. Hobbes can use his vantage point to watch his hooman picking up branches and mowing the yard.

Do they actually nicely swap turns? Harley and Mai Thai have to force the other off the bedroom window to get a turn lol

 

The Glucosamine / Chondroitin supplement I've been giving Rascal over the last week or so is amazing . I've never seen Rascal this playful and with so much energy

She's feeling so good now that she is easily jumping up onto counter tops . Also this Morning she jumped from my bed to her cat tree which is 4' away and easily made it . Now watching Rascal chasing Gizmo and Gizmo can't escape

 

They basically made a circuit of the open windows. One would sit for a while and then move on when another jumped up on the same perch.

 

Same here. Goggles got some inside outside time in. I joined him from the actual outside with a nice new release from the local brewery.

Hey hooman I'm waiting to be pushed around so I can get my exercise !!!!!

 

Hey there everybody. Hoping everybody and their families (humans, cats, and okay, even dogs ) are doing well during these times.

I have a question for all of you?

Since we have been self isolating (day 9 for us) one of our cats will not let us sleep. He has always been in the bedroom a little bit before 5 am to let us know it’s breakfast time....just in case we may have forgotten. He now is relentless all through the night. At first we thought he was hungry so we put food down. He would nibble for a few minutes and then come right back into the bedroom. He whimpers and stomps on me, then my wife, and back and forth with a few rattling of the blinds in between for good measure, and there is no comforting him or settling him down. He’s in good health, we just had him at the Vets office in January and everything was good. His blood levels were all perfect which was great news being that he is 14. Last night we put up a cat gate to the bedroom and he pawed at it and whimpered (which was heartbreaking to hear ) but I don’t know what to do. During the day he’s fine??

Has anybody else’s cats been acting strangely?

 

I would just guess he is wound up because his environment has changed? I don’t remember ours doing that when I retired though. Of course all animals respond differently.

 

if anything might have become more affectionate. Probably it’s just because I’m around more.
