Let's See Your Cats!!!

I've never declawed any. My cats are always indoor and out.

 

Minnie has to stay indoors... now since he was adopted without them we love him having no front claws. Although contrary to other cats he is a lover and does not bite, bat, or hind kick.

ours is good most of the time. she loves to sit on your lap and sleep. she loves to get petted the specified allotted number of times, no more (somewhere between 3 and 7 pets) she is the one that controls the allotment though

 

ours only likes to get pets once a day and that's while youre asleep. he can be a real dick sometimes haha.

 

but he does come running in from outside when the wife calls him. just like a well trained dog. its pretty amazing actually.

Some cats can be real pricks!
Minnie only has two flaws that I can see, and that is just him being a cat so I can't complain.
1. Waking my wife during the night because he's walking across her pillow and pulling her hair.
2. Doing his trance meow/ making bread kneading dance.

 

now we are very lucky that he doesn't do that very often. I would turn him into an outside cat very quickly.

 

And to edit my first post, he is only declawed in the front. He is by far the most loving cat we have, always wants to sit on your lap and be close. Loves being pet and purrs very loudly. But, we know if the purring subsides, he's had enough lol. I usually stop and get my hands away quick enough, my wife just keeps on going and usually gets a fluffy swat from the front paw. Rarely does he "bite" us, it's more of an action like he is going in for a bite and then runs away before actually doing anything. It's really the weirdest/funniest thing to see sometimes.

 

So damn cute.

 

In the 14 years we had Ponce and Augi (who's still with us) neither of them ever bit us or anyone else.

 

Ollie has bitten Bonnie and I but it was really only aggressive playing... he likes to "sneak attack" Augi which is another reason why we'd like another kitten. Hopefully take the heat off of her and redirect some of his playfulness elsewhere.
I have noticed something quite nice recently between them. At mealtimes they actually are quite nice to each other, cordial almost. This is a far cry from the hissing fest when we first introduced Ollie to the household. We've even seen them rub up against each other a few times. Good to see.

 

true, I don't think ours has maliciously bitten us, but he just doesn't control himself sometimes and plays a little too hard. enough to draw blood on occasion.

 

Ronald bites me in bed when he's sleeping and I try to pet him or if my leg brushes up against him.

 

It's pretty cool to see. Our cat comes running home when I get home, I seen him a few houses down the road before.

I have declawed our cat before, but inside cat only. Don't feel it's fair to take away their weapons if they go out. Well needless to say, cats get out, o matter how freaking hard you try. I don't support declawing now.

 

A bajillion years ago I worked briefly as a vet tech. I assisted in surgeries too. I only needed to see the declaw surgery one time to know that I'd never do that to an animal. (I would/will take in one if it comes that way, but I won't have it done)

 

We never let our cats outdoor and do not declaw. They use the scratching post and leave the furniture alone.

They don't bite either. A lot of it has to do with how They are raised. Never play rough with them or use your hands to wrestle them. Always play with their toys. Rub their front feet and pads often and they will let you clip their nails.
