A buddy had a black lab, he took her out in the desert and she took off. He called a few times and she kept going and going! He went home came back next day and dog was sitting where the truck was.

Smokey wanted to remind us what a stud he is this morning.

And then this afternoon he reminded us of what a nosy bastard he is. I had just gotten out of the shower and heard a hollow metallic boom. Apparently it was our champion ratter jumping in to the trailer for a look-see.

But once he realized he'd been spotted he aborted the mission.

So about a week ago or so we found out we had kittens under our house (crawlspace).

My wife went back under there and didn't see them so we thought the mom cat moved them elsewhere. Well Friday afternoon/evening I noticed on my "Kitten Cam" (Yes I have a Blink XT2 Camera setup to watch the hole that was on the side of the house lol) that the cats were still under there but outside playing.

While we have two cats (1.5 years old) we are not in position to take care of kittens nor do we want anymore (sorry to those that won't like that).

But anyways my wife was able to wrangle the two kittens and I helped with getting them into a cat carrier/crate. Man they were very vocal for being so little. I spoke to a co-worker who co-runs/assists with a non-profit for fostering animals and she said she could have someone on her staff care for/fostering them.

We found out that they are both females and they think they are around 5-6 weeks old.

My wife named them Cora (left) & April (right) - Initially she named April (right) Spitfire since she was very vocal/fighter lol

Momma Cat has not been caught yet. She's a feral cat but the neighbor is working to get her use to humans. We definitely need to get her spayed but with COVID19 places around here are not doing spay/neuter :(

Edit: We have so many cats in the neighborhood.. It's ridiculous.

    I lost count.

White Female Cat + 4 kids (young adults now) = 5
    2 Kittens (pictures) = 2
4-5 neighbor up the street as around their house = 5
    2 cats neighbor 5 houses up = 2

Total: 14 cats off the top of my head (minus the two kittens whom are going to get adopted when ready) so around 12 cats...

    Yeah definitely unamused.

Not everyone is good with more than a pair of cats. We had 4 in the house at one point and that was honestly too much for me. I'm good with our three dippy oranges now.
