Helen had quite the day. It started with the dreaded nail trim. Then I had the audacity to take her to the vet for her annual shots and to get a blood panel done (just preventative). When I got her back home she did the belly up position on her bed. You know, the one where they just dare you to touch them, but then she gave me the "look"...

Did I listen, nope!! She was out for blood!

More learned dog/cat behavior in the Pablo8 house. All animals below are spayed/neutered.

Dog (Chancho) humps the big tom cat (17 pounds), tom (Kimo) thinks it's a game. Dog is really air humping (think air guitar and clothed heavy petting if you must)........anyway we discourage it in front of guests and it only happens after the dog has his evening meal. Dog has a guilt complex, but that is best for the dog thread which I should join.

So anyway we have the brother sister Siam mix cats. They are the most mellow non scratcher non biters we ever had. Two years old now they hardly play together much like they used to. They just ignore each other. So yesterday we hear this HUGE cat fight up in the front of the house. Wow giant ruckus.........all human occupants run up there.....holy crap.....Kimo has Pearl (10 pounds) pinned trying to do the nasty. She breaks free he pounces and starts this dog air hump routine, sniffing up there, humping the air.......not normal cat amorous behavior. We broke it up. Kimo chased her a little then went back to sleep. Poor Pearl was very traumatized and hid in her safe zone the rest of the day.

Did I mention our previous tom learned to mimic a dog bark?

She's quite funny, she was actually playing. She plays quite hard, always biting. Never uses claws though unless she means business. I've never had a cat like her, she's very mouthy. Would not do well with small kids, probably why she has been back to the HS twice. But she's here to stay :)

That's so awesome to hear. I love it when cars that are a little more challenging find a loving home. :)

Same with our Bella. We think she was returned to rescues 2-3 times before we adopted her and although it's been a rough year, she's here to stay as well.

    That's really good on you.

I didn't mention our two Siamixes are underhouse rescues. Poor tiny things were full of parasites. It took many months of healing.

Our siamonsters are all rescues too. The only difference is yours had parasites and ours are parasites.

Yeah it’s all about who’s the alpha and there is definitely some jealousy going on here too. Suki is definitely the princess of the house and with Amos being the youngest and by far the biggest he struggles with wanting or trying to be dominant. He pounces on Suki from time to time. Really she over reacts and is usually the one who throws the first punch if he gets within arms reach of her. Then there’s poor little Louisa who obviously had a really rough childhood. She generally keeps to herself but I’ve seen her body slam Amos. She’s not even 6-7 lbs and he’s 18+/- lbs. I’ve shared this picture before but you can see the size difference and Amos has only gotten bigger since that picture.
