I can't even believe how big this cat got in 1 year; from 2 pounds to 19 real quick


On the belly rub topic, both of my cats enjoy a good belly rub as long as you're gentle. Jet will tear you up if he gets any hint that you're playing, so belly rubs are best given while they're falling asleep.

 

This one loved her ice cream. She's pretty old here somewhere around 19.

My OG Baby Enzo has been in and out of the vet and specialists at University of Georgia for the last week, still trying to diagnose his eye issue. Most likely his left eye will need to be removed

So far the good news is the results are showing negative for all other health issues but they can’t figure out why he got some sort of growth on the eye causing a ruptured blood vessel. Time will tell, he’s due back at UGA next Friday. We’re hoping for the best

Poor guy It's probably better that they remove it though in case whatever it is might be able to spread to his other eye. Animals are great at adapting to things like that. My brother's 10 year old Australian mini Shepherd had to have a front leg amputated recently due to a flesh eating bacteria she picked up. She hasn't missed a beat since, I swear she still runs just as fast as she did before. It's like she doesn't even realize she's missing a leg.

Yep, at the moment he's not even technically blind in that eye. But they said with the growth and once the blood gets old it'll be a problem. We're just praying his other eye stays healthy, but he's a trooper so hopefully it'll all be good

It does, but we thought the same thing...could be worse but they said he's healthy as hell other than the eye issue (which is surprising given all the urinary and other dietary issues this boy has haha)

 

Awe, poor guy. Give him lots of attention and the vets will offer the best medical advice they can. Him comfort is the key. All of our best and keep us updated.

We were feeding a neighbors cat that got hit by a car and had one eye, and a metal jaw, that guy would get up on our 6 foot wall and run everywhere so hope he does the same
