And he's a licker so he got the cone of shame.

 

I just saw a .gif on Reddit yesterday with a cat that was a licker and had the cone of shame. It was still licking him/herself like it didn't have the cone. The cone was protecting it lol

No, he's getting enough attention to keep his mind off the cone for the most part. Has to keep it on until at least Friday.

 

So last night Minnie decided that he needed to poop on our bed. Any thoughts as to why he would do something like this? An additional note is that he did it either before or just after pooping in the litter box. I'm at a loss for words or action.

 

It is my understanding that cats do this because they are trying to tell us something. The hard part is figuring out what it is that they are trying to say. From my experience it ends up being: “I don’t feel well please help.”

Also he could have simply had his little kitty turd stuck to his fur afterwards and that happened to fall off on your bed?

One isolated incident to me does not warrant a run to the vet but if the issue persists that would be my next move.

 

We used to have the dingle berry problem when the litter box was smaller.
The only other time he had more than a dingle berry was when he threw-up and pooped on our chair as a result of ODing on cat nip <-- only thing that changed in the 48 hours prior to the incident was adding catnip to his toys.

Come to think of it he has been paying more attention to the flowers my wife keeps collecting around the livingroom.

 

Abigail pissed on our bed once... Ever since then we close the door when we leave the house/aren't in the bedroom

 

How many of your cats poop in the box but do NOT cover it?

 

ours covers it..
but when it covers it, it uncovers previous poop

 

Oh... We clean it before she can poop multiple times.

 

Every. Freaking. Time. If we're lucky we can be there to scoop it straight into the toilet before it starts to stink up the entire house

 

we have three.

So by the time we clean it after one is done, the other two have taken a dump.

 

I wish we were so lucky. She made a poopie this morning (6:15am) and I scooped it right away (like literally seconds after) but it still stunk up the house lol

 

Oh gotcha. We have 1 cat but 3 litter boxes. She's a diva lol

 

3 cats 5 boxes. Going to add a 6th once Harry is free of the cone of shame and gets to interact with the others more.
