Pepper went back to the shelter on Thursday to be neutered and up for adoption on Friday. Great news! He was adopted on Friday! In and out of kitty jail in less than 24 hours!!
Flint goes back to the shelter this coming Tuesday to be neutered then available for adoption...hoping for another quick adoption..

I brought 3 feral kitts to a rescuer I know to care for them until they can be adopted - I know one of them has a prospective owner already. I got a call last night that she de-wormed them earlier and just noticed a worm coming out of one of the butts. She pulled it out and it measured 5 inches - that's almost as big as the kitts are!

Lucy is definitely settling in over time, she has found her favourite spot as well... she lays here everyday.

I need some advice. We have 2 females. They've been together for almost 2 years. No issues. They get along great.

But the wife has indicated to me that she would like a 3rd one. I do not. I think 2 is plenty. I don't want to rock the boat with how well they get along.

That said...my oldest daughter and I saw this very personable 3 month old male at Pet Smart (from a local shelter). My daughter said do it. We didn't.

But what are your all's opinions. Will 2 established females except a young male? All three are fixed. So hormones shouldn't be an issue.

I know there isn't a concrete answer to this....as every situation is different.

    Thoughts?

I think they'll be protective of their area at first but would eventually welcome him. There may be some fur flying at first.

That's a concern. At 3 months old, he's quite small. Our Tabby mix is a good size girl and quite strong. Worries me a bit

I’ve had considerable experience integrating kittens with established house cats.
It can be done but it takes patience.
The key is to isolate the kitten in a single room of the house so that the established kids can get used to the fact that there is another cat in the home.
We successfully integrated Olle with Augie and Ponce four years ago.
After Plans passed away we adopted Harry we did the same thing. Most recently last November when we adopted Marty it was a similar experience.
Introductions need to be 100% stress-free.
We kept the kittens isolated in their own room for about a week before any introductions.
After a week we left the door open for a short period of time so the established cats could see the new kitten.
A week later we had a “treat fest” in the kitchen with all of the cats present but safely separated by distance.
The following weeks consisted of more and more interactions.
There will be hissing and some puffed up tails but in the end we were successful with all of them becoming part of the household.
I don’t really think that gender has a whole lot to do with it. In my experience it’s up to the cats individual personality whether or not they are affectionate, not whether it’s a boy or a girl.
I will tell you that having a kitten around will definitely spice things up a bit. :D

I say go for it, it is totally worth it.

that said, three is my max.

they hung out in there all day and night. Its normally their room they like to go hang out and were initially introduced to their new home in but i didnt expect that kind of excitement for a desk.

We brought home a settee and immediately the 2 brats were trying to claim it, anything soft and within reach is basically theirs in their mind
