Let's See Your Cats!!!

I have to take a video of Marty eating. He acts like he hasn’t eaten in days. Like he doesn’t even taste it, he just has to gobble it all up as fast as he can.
We have to feed Ollie & Harry first or he’ll slam all the food in his dish and then go right after theirs regardless of if they’re still eating or not.
I’ve never had a cat that eats as furiously as him.

Well...I ended up doing it after all. This little guy is a different one than I was originally looking at. 10 weeks old.

Well....yes and no. I've actually been thinking about this for sometime now. But the actual decision went pretty quick once I found the right one.

I went back to Pet Smart to the smaller rescue's satellite store. After talking to my vet, he says he's familiar with them and sees no more problems with their animals than any other shelter.

I did pay a visit yesterday to our Humane Society. But I just didn't find one that fit the bill.

This fella was literally just being put in the cage when I saw him.

 

Thanks....he really is.

All things considered, he did very well on his 1st night. He was curled up near my face most of the night.

He's only 10 weeks....part of a mother/litter stray combo. He was neutered on the 7th along with his shots, was weaned just barely 2 weeks ago and was separated from his litter mates yesterday (by me) and thrown into a brand new environment. He did great last night as far as I'm concerned.

But I didn't sleep much at all.

Since he is my wife’s...she named him Leo in honor of her 50th birthday....August, of course.

Never met the momma cat. My sister told me that there was a black feral cat lurking about for a while during the time she found him. Have to assume that was his mom.

Hope he gravitates toward her a little more than you so she doesn’t feel too betrayed by her birthday present. Looking forward to hearing how he does with your 2 girls.

 

This is Bob, not sure if we are going to keep him. His dad died while working the fire line at the Stagecoach Fire on August 10th. Been taking care of him when Pete takes off to help others.

Well, we did it again folks. Got another kitten off the street tonight and gave it to the rescuer down the block from me. She now has 4 of them 'kritters' in her house and I know we have 2 of them pre-adopted already. There's a third prospective adopter in the wings but Chris wants to check on her a little - she's already met with the people that want to adopt 2 of the kitts.
