All this time I was worried that Harley would be the one cat I'd have to keep our baby daughter away from because he loves to play rough and bite (at least with me), lately she's been fussing really badly in the evening because her teeth are coming in.
Last night, Harley walks right up to her as she's screaming, meows at her and even lets her grab his fur. I was amazed, though for sure he was going to bite but it was like he knew it would help distract her from her pain, and it did. He kept doing it over and over every time she'd get fussy.

Not enough to put her to sleep though lol, but I appreciated his effort.

When you live in a house with cats, the following is true...

When something is left on the floor, it shall be considered abandoned and forfeited to the household domain as unclaimed household property. As such, it shall be deemed hereto and henceforth by those that control unclaimed property as . . . toys.

Translation . . . If you want the 23 pens that I knocked over this morning and you left on the floor, out from under the couch . . . you can get them yourself.

Ginger loves watching the butterflies on the patio. Another good day for her.

 

Nice butterfly bush. We have two by our pool. Attracts lots of butterflies that my wife likes watching while shes in the pool. We have 3 hummingbirds that go to them too.

 

We get hummingbirds too, and this year were able to spot a nest high in an arborvitae. They had two clutches of two babies each. The cats love to watch them, but have always been too slow to ever get one. Ginger is our only outside cat now, and she's too old and ill to bother doing anything but watch.

 

I knew it, they are out to get us.
And so it begins.
