We got bunch of neighborhood cats...the black and white one makes his rounds. I give him some treats and water.

 

Got this from the girl who does the foster care for the kitts I bring her!

 

Yeah...he makes an appearance once in awhile. Been coming around for several years. Nobody in the neighborhood knows if he belongs to anyone. I've seen him out at all hours. Took a long time to gain his trust. Nice fella. Kills a lot of birds....even in his older age

Meanwhile, my cat thinks the couch isn’t soft enough so she has us put down a fuzzy My Little Pony blanket to curl up on.

they get by, as soon as I turn my back they’re up on the counters and running around with the crazies.

she is definitely the brains of the clan, The silent killer. The oranges take care of the dirty work.

 

If Little Cat has brains, she hides it very well. Tripping hazard. She makes up for it with cuddles.

This was 7 years ago now, shortly after I adopted Harley when he was left behind by a former tenant.

We had to put his food dish on the table to keep one of the roommate's dogs from eating his food, and Harley thought it was some kind of game where he could knock the dish down onto the floor.

Every. Single. Day

 

If cats had opposable thumbs the world would be a different place...

 

I dont understand what is it with people not training their dogs on "no kitty"

I guess Im going to have to be more specific before I allow a dog to hang all day from now on.
Like ask how is your dog with cats, be honest.
And if you cant be honest, how are you with your dog losing an eye.

Seriously, shes lucky simba's not a dick like some of my other cats were.
Buster, dez, tigger, tigger II, just a few that come to mind offhand that would have already clawed this dogs face off.
They did not like to be chased. Period.

Its not that hard with most dogs. "No kitty"
Some are more difficult, I admit.
Ive had some hard case dogs.
But why am I doing it instead of just enjoying the playdate????

I agree. My dogs, even my bird dogs, were taught obedience. Food in the bowl, or even steak scraps on a plate in the house. You sit and wait til I say okay. I never made them wait very long, but if their butt left the floor, i raised the plate and made them sit. They learn real fast.
