I wish those responsible a very painful demise

 

This was on local news all day yesterday and this morning. 3k reward that I bet grows a lot. Whoever did it probably had a buddy with him, who will decide he likes money more than his friend.

 

Let's pray that happens to be the truth!

 

When s person progresses to that kind of violence, this isn't the first occurrence. There will be other crimes they've committed as well. That may help with tracking him / her down.

They are usually the sociopathic type that eventually move on to human victims as well. They need to be stopped before they can hurt someone, or any more animals for that matter

 

Update on Kitty:
The lady just brought him by, found out it was a little boy... I'd for some reason been thinking of a name, I thought of "Scooter", oddly enough she said she had also been thinking that same name, so guess he's Scooter now.
He's still hangin in there, pretty sure he was feral... His lower lip looks like it had abrasion where it was bleeding from when I picked him up on the side on the road.
He's probably got worms, she's gonna worm him..
His ears inside looked horrible , , horrible as in black crud (I'm assuming it was a bunch of dried blood, maybe from ear mites and scratching, possible injury?),she had already been cleaning them (cleaned more with Q-tips etc while here, and got a lot out).. She has already gave him a small bath, but didn't over do it, like total drenching him with lather ETC... She didn't wanna have him freak out and not be able to rinse him..
Gave him his first known solid "soft" food, some Fancy Feast to be exact, and he gobbled it up and started purring...
Still think he's probably missing his momma and a bit traumatized... But so far think he's gonna be OK.
I gave her some money to help out.

 

Looks a bit thin but great hes on the mend. Doesnt seem too feral if he lets you hold him. I bet he will be good kitty

 

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but he has a little belly on him, looks like his momma did good feeding him.. Yeah, I really don't know if he was around anybody or not, he's a mystery kitty.

 

He looks to be young enough that he can still be socialized.

We saved a 5 week old feral kitten that lost his mom this summer and he turned out to be a great kitty. Sadly we already have too many pets so had to find him a forever home but he was very friendly.

 

Yeah I think he'll be able to be socialize too.. He seems to be very calm.

Thanks for the update. It looks like Scooter has great social skills based on the pictures and will do well in a forever home. Glad to hear he is healing nicely. Based on your description of his ears it does sound like ear mites...newer medications are wonders at quickly clearing up mite infestations. One thing to consider if you think he has fleas- Dawn dish washing liquid kills fleas but is not toxic for kittens. Thanks to both you and the caregiver lady for nurturing and caring for Scooter.

 

Absolutely the best story I've read in months.

 

Yeah, hopefully little Scooter is gonna have a great life ahead of him.. He sure looks like he's had a rough go so far, but maybe he ended up on the side of the road, so his life would take a better turn.

I wish we lived in a world where all animals and people could live a good life, guess we all have to go thru things tho, that's life.

I'll continue to give updates on little Scooter.
