Let's See Your Cats!!!

All 3 of mine are rescues. Augi and Ponce (RIP buddy) were from an abandoned litter of 5 kittens my wife’s cousin had found in St. Augustine Florida. We brought them home with us from our Honeymoon.
Ollie was found by my sister in her garage. He was apparently lost by his mother and had hidden behind my brother-in-laws motorcycle. We took him in and he & Ponce became good buddies before Ponce passed back in August.
Harry was found by a local cat rescue - another abandoned kitten. He was bottle fed by fosters until he was old enough to be adopted. My wife is in love with Ollie and wanted another orange cat so now we’ve got Harry.
The best part is that since Ollie’s only a year & a half he can keep up with Harry’s kitten energy. They’ve become best buds. He keeps Harry occupied and they leave Augi alone for the most part.
Augi is a stubborn old lady now who likes to cuddle but has no tolerance for play fights. She’ll growl & bat at Harry if he tries to go after her.

I’ll say that three is my limit though.

To each their own. My other cat is a shelter rescue, and to me the people that all say 'adopt don't buy'...it would be the same thing as getting angry over someone buying a new car when theres so many good used ones out there. Not trying to start a fight, just isn't a valid argument to me. Get what makes you happy - and if you can make something else happy by bringing them into your home, then thats all that matters.

I had a cat for less than 24 hours, does that count? I wanted to keep her, but I knew she belonged to one of my neighbors =(
Found her next to my door freezing her whiskers off, ended up buying cat stuff too just in case she was going to stay longer.
My dogs were thoroughly confused as to what she was

Alright, I learned something new today! She was adorable though. She was as kind as could be.

 

Oh for sure haha. The more I’m learning about them and the more I’m seeing mine before we get him here in the next week or so the more my mind is at ease to having one. The breeder is flying down with him to help integrate him into our house/lives, she really takes an active part in all of this. Here’s a shot she took yesterday of him. Those ears!

My mom bought a nice cat tower for the cats for Christmas and instead they're playing in the box it came in and an empty coke box.

put some treats and a couple plastic bags up there and they'll go in there.

 

We are in the same boat. We have bought so many cat toys and all they want to play with is candy wrappers.
