That is a bitchin idea! Certainly not for cat proofing, though! GAWD, even my 12 y/o Wallace & Gromit boiz would be whackin' the bajeezus out of that one and they're pretty much beyond the whole tree attack thing!

We so want an orange kat. But two Siamese monsters and an ancient dawg are full time. There is a semi-feral guy who roams the area. We have named him. Orange Cat.

The chonky floof picked us. He was a 2 year old rescue from Pasadena human society. My son walked by his cage and he reached out and grabbed his shirt.

His is mad at me lately, I am feeding him less and he knows it.

We're in that identical boat! The balance of life is good with 12y/o Wally & Grom and Stu my 11 y/o black lab. We had a cat, Gus, that was a spitting image of @HomerTaco kitty with a splotchof orange on his nosetip. He was about 4 when he found us, the Vet said. He was our's for just over 21 years! He was truly the neighborhood ambassador. Everybody knew and loved Gus!

E0995DFB-DF06-4E7F-BC51-006B4F81C19C.jpg I find that the orange cats are born brats. They must have the brat gene in their dna. Then add the trait of fearlessness and super curiosity and you have super brats who are on a constant mission 24/7 to find trouble. But they have the most innocent and cute little faces that allows them to get away with almost anything.
And smart, they are the Einstein of cats. Our cat Copper learned to operate the door handles on the interior doors so he can open any door and get inside that room. He loves to play hockey with ice cubes and learned how to dispense ice cubes from the refrigerator ice maker so he can wap them all over the floor like a hockey puck. Onetime (I caught this on an interior security camera) the dog was in the kitchen prowling for food and Copper (dog and Copper are best friends) the cat was up on the counter wapping food items off the counter on to the floor for his dog to eat. He knocked down from the counter 2 loaves of bread, a box of cookies, a bag of chips and other food items. When I got home to the mess on the floor dog and cat were curled up together on the dog bed napping, as innocent as could be.
The first pic (posted previously) was actually taken just after I got home, Notice the innocent looks, they didn’t know how the mess in the kitchen was made. The second pic is the Copper innocent cute look and the third is him under the covers planning the days adventures.

The third pic looks like he's covering the smirk that's on his face as he thinks about what he got away with!
