Let's See Your Cats!!!

Our female Siamese is very tuned into guarding, ears and eyes. She even growls (according to my wife) when I am crossing one of our fields (freezing with beanie and hoody up) as she watches from the window.

Our meezers do this too. They all go running to the door when they hear my wife’s car pull up. Also, Amos especially, growls and hisses at strangers - he even does it to me if I have a hat on or something. Also if we say “what’s out there” they all run to the nearest window and look for anything that’s suspect and all will do a low grumbling growl until they decide it’s all clear. It’s actually pretty awesome that they’re so alert and protective.

 

When someone knocks on our front door our dog Sprig runs to the door barking and Copper his best friend runs along side him growling.

She’s a beauty.

 

Yesterday afternoon, I gave the strays a few treats. This little one, says yum yum, more please. Oh, maybe I just come inside too?

Purdy (feral rescue and bobbed kitten) got her spaying, rabies shot and ear clipped last Thursday, couple more weeks in the garage and then transition to becoming a farm cat.

Her momma was maybe 7 or 8lbs, not very big at all. Purdy was 4.2lbs at 5 months, when she gets transitioned to the farm, her food will actually be decreased by 20% this helps ensures that she will hunt, now the transition with the other farm cat is going to be interesting, but I have cats to help keep down on the mice & rats.

I'm not really a cat person...so they are considered working cats lol

They clip the left ears, and tat the belly on ferals in case they get trapped/captured, this allows animal control to identify and release the cat back.
