What a great share. It’s been a dream of mine to have an experience like that with big cats! Minus the ass tenderizing of course ;)

This is my sweet buddy Shadow aka lill black cat. I can’t believe I caught him in my plants. I almost went over to shoo him away but then stopped and smiled thinking this is probably what Panther is doing right now, relaxing in the endless greenery of kitty heaven soaking up the unlimited sun beams without a care in the world. I miss your posts on him already so I know how difficult it is to not have him with y’all physically anymore.
This one’s for you Panther

I will never forget visiting the Apple Valley Zoo near the Twin Cities, with Siberian tigers roaming around their large forested space and the cubs were close, napping in a space close enough to look down and see their big paws. Years later, the Anchorage Pet Stop vet who worked with the Alaska Zoo stopped by with his longline crew and his vet assistant and I talked about tigers, as she held the cub's paws while they were sedated. Thrilling and sweet at the same time. That doc also conducted spay/neuter clinics in the harbor shop, and I was asked to watch over a young Lab, while sitting with my Brittany (both neutered). Sure enough, as soon as that Lad started to recover from the anesthesia, he wanted to get up so I kept him down until he wasn't going to wobble. The Brittany just relaxed...

That's a great prayer. During my four day MLK weekend trip to Bend via Richland, when I returned to Richland, WA (and immediately drove to Kirkland Costco Tire so my eldest could pick up one of their cars, and I could haul the summer tires back to their home), as soon as her husband Paul got home they asked me to dog sit while they went to look at puppies. "We'll just be looking..." Sure enough, I got a call, "Paul has a puppy so we'll be a bit longer getting home..." So I met Hank the Cow Dog... and headed home the next morning. Three hours to Richland, another 5 to Bend, OR, four legs in four days, and fog most of the time. I'm glad this next trip will be in this season, except that my Richland stop has moved next to Olympic National Park.
I'm not sure what Baker would think of traveling several thousand miles in the truck... We'll adjust.

Congratulations on 1,000 pages to Colorado_TJ and all!

The three remaining kittens were all adopted into the same home! They get to stay bonded together, an awesome opportunity that doesn’t happen very often.

Not sure I should share this, but we are both missing him. Earlier my wife asked if I needed anything from the store while she was getting items for the kids sleep over tonight. Normally I say…well you can read….(had to crop the bottom two texts:D)

    7C9E7C45-0B23-4E53-9D54-6D66ED3F9A2C.jpg

Sometimes she just burst out in tears. She had plans to move to our retirement home and have him as an indoor cat when he got a few years older. I would have totally allowed that. Not sure he would have though.

IMG_5514 Dad and Pippa.jpgPippa the barn cat with Dad, who was certain that as soon as Lady had passed on, would be walking into the house and taking up residence. Dad passed on before the old border collie, Lady, who was finally put down by the vet with Dad's personal representative, my sister who's been renting n apartment up the hill from the ranch, which closed in early April so Pippa's moved into her apartment. Jack the big Red Sun Labyrinth cat waits outside the front door window to see Pippa, naturally hesitant to go outside. Last week, Jack stood up with his paws on the window, and she lunged at him!
