For every ten bad pit bulls there is always one big gentle giant. Chico definitely looks ferocious  he looks like a gentle giant.

Lincoln's 2nd bday was Saturday. He wore this hat for about as long as it took to take the pic. Not pumped on it.

I have seen a "mean" pit, ended up he was just happy and very playful.

Mowing a neighbor's yard, the dog next door (a pit) kept running back and forth barking as I passed with the mower. No problem lots of dogs bark at mowers. I knew both neighbors and while I had no direct interaction with the dog previously I did know who and whose he was. I did not fear him.

As I came around on lap 5 or so, he came running at me. Obviously he had gotten out of the fence and had something to say about my mowing and he did not seem pleased at all. He grabbed the front tire of the mower and started to tug me and the mower to the side. For some reason my mind kind of "vapor locked". Never had the thought to disengage the blade , instead I thought "I am gonna run over this dog and kill him if I don't stop moving" I stopped the mower and he kept tugging and growling. Clearly he had opinions about Snapper mowers.

My quick thinking, o_O told me I better try to get away before he destroys the tire and them moves on to the rider. I shifted the thing in reverse. He let go.. SUCCESS!!! no, he ran around to the back tire and started tuggin away. Crap!! this is not working, go the other way fast!! (Yeah, I was top of my game that evening) He let go and ran back to grab a front tire again.

I shifted forward and reverse several times before I realized a few things..
    A) I could turn the freaking blades OFF!!
    B) No one noticing what is going on here.
    C) He is letting go and not just running to "attack" another tire, he is barking, bouncing and his tail is wagging
    D) My mower and I are now his beach ball
    E) He is playing with me!!:rofl:

I finally figured out I could disengage the blade and turned the mower off. He let go, barker a couple times and damned near wagged his butt off.

I got off the mower and told him to come on while I walked to his parents' door. When the door was answered by the lady of the house who said hello to me, then promptly asked him how he got out. he promptly licked my hand and trotted into the house. She apologized and asked if he had hurt me or anything. I told he he had done nothing wrong, but she might want to check and make sure he had not hurt his mouth as he was trying to chew my tires.

A couple weeks later I bought 2 new front tires and pumped the rears full of sealant. The dog was fine and the mower needed front tires anyhow.

The next time I saw him he came trotting across the street to get a drink from my water hose one day when I was washing the wife's car. he drank for a minute gave me a little yip of thanks and went back home to sneak back INTO the yard.

Yeah pits are mean assuming of course that you are a squeaky toy or maybe a ball.

He’s scared of flies, when people speak loudly around him he shakes and sits close to me for comfort and protection. nothing ferocious about him. The only time he’s come relatively close to ripping someone’s face off was when my neighbor peeked over our wall for what ever reason. Never did that again

Yea man, and Battle ain't even our biggest dog. Lycan out weighs him by 12 pounds already, and lycan is only 6 months. Battle is 2 years old. The vet thinks Lycan will be 150 when grown, battle is only 80 pounds.

The ups guy won't even pull all the way into our yard. :D

Just curious... What do you mean legally take 2? A law says you can only transport 2 puppies for sale?
