Where’s momma?

 

This is Bella, we adopted her earlier today. She's a two year old American Bulldog.

 

I can't upvote this enough. Well done.

 

Drove out to Florissant to get her this morning. She's a sweetheart.

Edit: @hack4875 Where are you at in The Springs? I haven't met any Taco people down here yet..

 

I'll be picking up my next dog in the near future, haven't confirmed the date yet.

Currently called Glaurung, I can't remember his full name.


He just retired and in need of a retirement home. He is also the brother (litter mate) of my grandson, aka Harvey, my son's dog.

Thankfully a Cardigan Welsh Corgi only sheds twice a year, January 1st to June 30th and July 1st to December 31st.

 

I adopted a Pembroke Corgi that couldn't make the cut in the show ring and passed around
breeders for a 3 years before we got him. Little guy was a bad ass!!! Lived to be 15 years old.

 

He was a handsome feller.

 

The vet of your choice may even have them for free. Our boxer who didn't care for people loved going to the vet. I owe that to my wife taking him to puppy socialization classes there early on. Double bonus

 

Cannot agree more. Socialization is key.

 

our lab was born of my daughter's then-best-friend's dog when they were 12-13... All the neighbor girls were cuddling the pups from the moment they were old enough.. my daughter got the pick of the litter, so we took Maggie, the 'queen bitch', the female pup who pushed all the other dogs off /her/ favorite nipple, etc etc. hah! she was also this beautiful deep honey yellow. she has been the best dog we've ever had. she hangs out outside in our driveway all day when we're home, and often half the night long if its not cold. she's nearly 12 now and going white all over.. we can leave her with friends or a doggy bnb when we go out of town, and she's totally cool with it... she has never gone after another dog, she pretty much ignores dogs that try and be aggressively playful. we always bring one of her beds when we leave her somewhere, and a bag of her standard food, never had any issues.

I think that's right. Also called the golden dragon which is also part of his full name, Glaurung the Golden.

Per Wikipedia:
Glaurung is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional Middle-earth legendarium. He is introduced in The Silmarillion as the first of the Dragons. He is also the main antagonist, along with Morgoth, in The Children of Húrin. He was known as The Deceiver, The Golden, The Great Worm and the Worm of Greed and Father of Dragons.

 

That is a TALL name for a dog with a vertical deficiency.

 

Bubba's going under the knife today to remove a mass on his hind leg.

God, I'm such a nerd.

Not sure what that means about the dog, or anyone who gets between him and his supper!

 

If he's like his brother, don't get your hands between him and his food, he might accidentally bite it off.
