The rottie wont swim without the vest... she watched the lab superman into the pool and swim like an otter with this look on her face that said she wanted to but couldn't (sank like a rock--no fat equalls sink to the bottom). We got her the vest and she immediately jumped in behind the lab. Gotta love em...

Tank looks healthy to me...maybe "Mom" should give him a little room and let him be a boy....LOL. I'm sure you taught him where the steps are to get out of the pool and you put something by those steps so he can see where he can get out....Tank looks really happy...I'm glad for you!

That is so cool! Good for you for getting the tools she needed to be able to have fun also...it's not called spoiling to me ;).

He looks great, got his weight up a bit so he looks healthier now and his coat is gorgeous if I do say so myself.
He only climbed off the raft one time, but I was nearby and 'helped' him to the steps. None of them will go in alone and Tank was the only one who would venture onto the steps by himself. He was able to find the steps or swim to us, but we will work on it more with all of them.
He does have a life jacket, but I didn't get pics of him with it on. It works great though, we bought it to take him on a boat at the lake.

Just cleaned the pool filter for summer---Holy Crap there was a ton of dog hair and they just started going back in a couple of weeks ago, looks like I'll be cleaning the filter every other month. Oh well its worth it to give the pups a quality life in the desert.

Tank has had a rough couple of weeks then yesterday morning he gets stung by a wasp :goingcrazy:..looks like he probably tried to eat it and it stung his lip. He had an allergic reaction, his face/lips swelled up huge, his ears and eyes swelled almost closed, he was covered head to tail in hives! It all happened in a matter of minutes and sure scared me, but I rushed him to the vet and they fixed him right up real quick. I'm loving my new vet :D. While we were there he checked Tank's blistered feet and his neuter 'area', both are healing very well.
He looked 10x's worse than this on the way to the vet!!

Look at all those hives on his head! He was covered in them :(.
    tank1006_ec07a603aa9ce3733eab5ac3fc928dc750876249.jpg
The hives are gone and the facial swelling has gone down except the area on his lip that he was stung. He gets benedryl for another day and should be fine! He is definately my little tough guy.

Ahhhh yes only a face his mommie could love..or kiss LOL...when he got stung did he run to you for help...I'm just curious to see how strong his bond is with you. But of course he might have been in so much pain he would have run to anyone....Kiss all the ugly ole hives and hurt places and make it feel better MOM.....
