I adopted my Pembroke Corgi when he was 3 years old. Beau was a great look Corgi. He just didn't make it in the show ring.
So three different show peeps gave up on him. Poor guy was a hot mess when I got him. Beau lived til 14 when me. 1st dog
I had to put to sleep and it sucked cause he was a awesome dog.

Couple weeks ago, Gem took off into the bush after an early A.M. run, which was odd already, she rarely leaves my sight for more than 30 seconds, and always comes when called. but after 20 minutes of calling and searching the treeline I was almost thinking she'd joined the local coyote union.

After half an hour I spotted her a few hundred yards sulking back to the truck.. "oh god not a skunk"

    She brought some souvenirs.
IMG_20180915_072719.jpg IMG_20180915_080652.jpg Two had been completely buried in her forearm. those definitely hurt on the way out, but she sat still leaving me two hands to work with.

I haven't asked her how she feels but I'll take porcupine duty over a skunk any day, I doubt she feels the same way though.

Never had an opportunity to check out porcupine quills, god are they neat... Especially when they aren't stuck in your dog.

Good question. When I get home I'll take a look. One of the few things that she hasn't torn to shreds....so she must like it.

Purchased at PetCo. Amazon probably has it, too.

Gem didn't look to upset with the results. Looks like she was pleased to get into the scuffle.

My Aussie/Lab mix. Herds everything, wants nothing more than to retrieve, so definitely got both breeds traits in full force. Awesome dog on the trail, stays close and comes when called. Great with other dogs too. Unfortunately out with a punctured paw webbing from who knows what out on a farm a couple of weeks back.
