Not sure what type of service dog she is, but I do see she is quite stressed by the work she does.

Everyone should have a dog. For as much of a pain as it can be at times, wouldn't have it any other way.

Riley and I have a thing. When we're going back inside, he'll run up on the porch and wait for the door. If I stand a few feet away from the porch, he'll stand there and look at me. If I hold my arms out, he'll take a couple steps and leap off the porch toward me all puppy like. If I tell him "inside", back up he goes to the door. I can repeat this a dozen times and he never fails to disappoint. The expression on his face and the joy with which he repeats this brings an immense sense of happiness to me.

I'm glad we've come to a place that we can recognize the value animals bring to the healing process. I think they recognize that too.

its actually very interesting to even see my "puppy" pick up on my behavior changes, and she will come nudge me and put her head in my lap or in my face like hey dad, i know you are not right.. so im here to help.. she just knows. I think my wife is a bit jealous though.. cause the dog can read me but she cant! hahaha but seriously my days are so much different when shes with me.

I used to be the same but I finally realized that while they are addressing me directly, they are talking to every Joe that ever served. So on behalf of every Joe, I politely say thanks and just Charlie Mike.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
You are so right on this one. People say that they possess "unconditional" love. But I truly believe you don't know that until you see it in the eyes of a dog. Their love and resiliency is something we can all learn from. And yet they are so simple.

People always come with conditions. Whether they realize it or not. Dogs? Not so much.

In my professional career, I've always worked in dog friendly offices. Riley grew up in one. My co-workers would often come by and take him for a walk. That was pretty cool for all-sort of like a therapy session with poo pickup :D

They come with conditions too, but they are much more realistic and simpler than ours. Warmth, food, petting, excrete, repeat...

Beauceron and her stick. This is an amazing breed, they have lots of energy all day long and they are one hell of a watch dog also.
