Took Jake and Chance camping this weekend.



Chance went swimming for the first time. He seemed truly amazed he was doing it. Super fun watching him. Getting video of his first couple laps was too risky because I was standing in about 4' of water. I sustained a severe nipple scratch when he swam out to me and tried to dog paddle right up my chest.

Is anyone looking for a good dog, Scooby needs a place to stay thru November. One of my friends who lives in the desert has to find a good home for Scooby, not a city dog but he resides in Palm Springs. He is friendly and I have scratches down my driver's door from the first time I met Scooby. Here is a picture, Dave will take him back in November. Let me know and I will connect you.

 

Will get more picks, but he is house trained and listens to command well. Not an agressive dog just happy go lucky, if interested in fostering thru November PM me and I will get you connected. He is located in Whitewater so if you wanted to meet Scooby first. I know there are some good people here and hope some in that area

He's getting big!

 

Ugh...I know. He’s a 50lb lap dog now, and not done growing. Still long and lanky and hasn’t filled out.

In the heat of the summer the struggle is real

 

Man, those pups look just like my knuckle heads.

 

One of my hooligans is all sunshine and rainbows, while the other (her expression notwithstanding) is all murder, mayhem, and destruction. They certainly balance each other out, but it makes walking them a challenge. Then there's the people who, when they ask "can I pet your dog?" won't take "no" for an answer and get snapped at. Every time Lucy bites someone, I remind them that I told them not to try and pet her.

Kiki - "A stranger! I must hide."
Lucy - "A stranger! DESTROY ALL HERETICS!!"

Kiki - "A toy! I must play with it."
Lucy - "REDUCE THE FUZZY THING TO ITS COMPONENT ATOMS!"

Kiki - "I get all the nutrition I need from my bowl."
Lucy - "Mmmm, katydid! Mmmm, gecko! Mmmm, mole! Mmmm, scorpion! Mmmm, dead bird!"

 

We have a puppy right now (9 mos.), and also have an apricot tree that drops probably 100 ripe (see: overripe) apricots a day. Big sister tried a few, and said, "meh"...doesn't eat them any more. Puppers saw the bigger one trying it, and has every single one she finds per day. Eats everything including the pits....not soon after she throws up the pit, throws up the apricot, repeats the process, then later lays on her bed later with no energy... PROBABLY FROM EATING THE STUPID APRICOTS YA DUMMY! Every time I let her out, if there's one (usually more like 20) she is on it like it was the best thing ever! Try to extract it, and she already takes it runs away and eats it. Wash rinse repeat for the past week. This tree is just about done giving fruit. I don't think in 15 years it has given this much fruit combined...but this year, just for Wookiee, shit tons of apricots. We can't pick them off the tree or ground fast enough!

 

Sounds like my lab and our avocado tree. When one falls it is a sprint to see which one of us gets there first. I’m getting slower, she seems to be getting faster
