    Usually how it goes.

    This image reminds me of my worst camping trip in Colorado. We were doing Iron Chest trail and “planned” to come down and camp in Buena Vista. We were dicking around at the top and said “F it, let’s just crash right at tree line for the night, come down in the morning.”

    A storm blew in and it was a hell of a night at 10k ft of elevation. My dogs hung out in the tent for as long as they could until the rains made us move into the vehicles and have a warm, but restless night on the mountain. Lol. Then I rolled my rig in the morning.

    Seems I only had to build a Jeep...lol.

    I was not prepared to stay up on the mountain that night. I was colder than doing winter survival training and staying in snow caves for a couple days. Definitely a No Bueno time. We laugh about it now though....and go prepared now every time.
