Sebastian had the "Big Snip" done last Tuesday; hence the cone.

Since he is the kind of dog that likes to inhale his food, I got him this puzzle toy to feed him with; for now at least. You put the kibble in the purple bottle. The opening is partially blocked by the big heavy rope. He has to wrestle with the toy to get the kibble to come out one kib at a time. This will keep him occupied for about two hours.

Barney chilling today, Mom covers him up with a blanket and it is growing on him this year. Last year not so much as he would try to rip it up. He has some big feet but they have to carry his 97 pounds. I may have 5 pounds off him, cutting back on his kibble

I showed her for about a year starting when she was 9 months old. She won one time. Bunch of runner ups. Some said she was an inch or two too long in the back which threw off the symmetry. Allegedly. I don't know. But got tired of it of (IMO) weaker dogs winning. So subjective. Certain judges like certain things. Then when I decided I wasn't interested in breeding her, there was no point. Shes a tomboy. She has way more fun in the field, than in a ring.

For the record, I am not in this picture. Handler, and Judge are.

What's her name?

 

Her name is Sadie. I didn't come up with some fancy schmancy name, so just called her IAT's DK Sadie Mae. IAT is the Kennel. D & K are the first letter of my name, and my wifes. She's been an amazing dog. She'll be 8 in March.

 

That is one great looking dog. Quail season started today. Taking my lab out on Monday. I bet your dog work love it

I believe the show ring for working dogs should be field trials. Otherwise, the breed gets ruined for its task the GSD is a great example.

 

Most all the dogs from the kennel I bought Sadie from have are Show champions, and Senior or Master Hunters. A few are giving Field Trials a shot.

 

I have my favorite Grand Dog tonight. I have to take her for surgery in the morning. She is having three tumors removed.

 

Sorry to hear about the tumors. Hoping for a quick recovery.
