Ok I just got a little more info on them. The 1st one is more curious as to what people are doing and spends more time following them. Whereas the other one likes to go off and explore on its own.

I have had both types of dogs and I like the ones that stay with people. My aussie is like that and when I'm drunk and camping its nice not to worry about them wandering off. Both of those dogs are sweet looking I'm sure both are going to be great dogs.

Ya I think #1 it is now that I know that. Now I just have to wait until Labor Day weekend to pick her up.

I made a little platform type deal this weekend based off one of the write ups here so I just need to get a little pad for her now.

x2.... my Aussie is great, I accidently left her outside for about 5 hours one night. I completely forgot about her. ( I know its horrible, I still feel bad about it) She waited on my front porch the whole time. My other dog, the boxer mix would be gone in a second. It kind of gets annoying having to chase her thru the neighborhood. GL w/ the new pup.

I think you want to observe that for yourself. See how the dogs are with their litter mates. Are they social? Is one more dominant (or submissive) than the others? When placed in an unfamiliar area, what does the pup do?

If I had to pick between these two, I'd take the dog interested in people. Or both :)

Ya I agree with you. They are a 4 hour plus drive from where I live though. I've only seen a couple short videos of them playing and interacting. I've already weeded out the other dominant dogs and eliminated the ones that just wandered off.

But being that I have second pick out of about 8 they said it's more than fine if I change my mind when I do go up to pick her up.

Both, is what I keep hearing from my gf, she keeps saying she needs one for her house lol.

4 hours is a long way but consider you will own your dog for as many as 15 years. If you're lucky, longer. So, 8 hours is but a tiny investment of time. Take the GF and make a weekend out of it--then if the pup doesn't work out for you, you'll still have had a great time!

The way I picked out Bear was by watching the pups. They were let out of their pen, and of course they all ran up to me to check me out. Once they did that, they all ran off to do what puppies do, wrestle with each other, shred things, etc., except Bear. He took a keen interest in me, and stuckaround. He would go check up on his litter mates, but only long enough to know what they were up to before returning. Needless to say, he was the one that went home with me. He chose me as much as I chose him.
